thanks for that - she sure is pretty.

Did you see the online boutique that's snagged one of her shots off her instagram and used it on their facebook/instagram etc?

That's one thing about all this publicity - these gorgeous folk are going to be used by many so we can hardly criticise them for grabbing a few freebies here and there from retailers wanting to add their hashtag out there :)

<missing that dancing skeleton Mrs B ... have even been reduced to visiting HM thread and a Jade thread at that!! what is my BB world shrinking to!!!!!>
I saw your post about that boutique yesterday! Pretty scummy thing to do if they don't have her permission but I guess unless the HMs have the time to patrol that stuff or someone trying to protect their likeness from being used there's not much they can do about it. It's definitely a place to put on the do not buy from list though!

And yeah I know what you mean about our BB worlds now. Miss so many people and I've found myself even looking at Ed's Insta and Twitter just so I can stay somewhat in the loop in this thread when really I don't give much of a stuff about what he's doing other than if he's treating Jade decently. Which of course we wouldn't know from social media anyway as he's all about the image and I'm not sure if with her being in love she'd even realise if he wasn't.

I did however see on Insta that Tim spent his taxi ride to the airport Googling and asked where to buy one or at least if he could hold one somewhere. Had a good giggle at that. :)

I don't think he suits the Sydney scene at all (or at least not Tully's one)

He needs to remain a Melbourne hipster as that's what made him popular in the first place!

WTF does this mean....

He seemed to like hanging out with who she was last night....Obviously he won't be hanging out a lot at the lesbian spots (but neither I think will Tully at this point probably.)

and how is he a "Melbourne hipster" and how did that make him popular....I think his witty DR's, his scoundrel personality, pranks with Tim and good looks made him popular...

This might be the silliest post I've seen in a while

I don't think its fair to criticise where she's been living - moving to Sydney without work lined up would be madness given the expense of living in this city ... she's mentioned wanting to take classes ... she'll get to it when she's ready I'm sure ... she may get offers for Home & Away (which she aspired to) without having to take classes ... and if she proves herself there who knows what she'll get offered in the future ... they all need to ride the BB train whilst its still pulling into their station - it'll pass soon enough ...

Personally she seemed to have her head screwed on right except when it came to Ed - so her taste in men is different to mine - go figure ... mine has a dodgy haircut too at times ;)

However I don't think she'll give up all her aspirations to settle for Ed unless he puts a ring on her finger at the very least.

God can you imagine the mumbling that would go with the proposal!!! <shuddering>
I'm not criticising where she lives at all. My point is that it offers nothing in terms of assisting with Jade's aspirations.

Just something I think is worth mentioning - since their appearances on Wednesday, twitter activity (that is activity from other users) for Drew and Tully seems to have fallen. Instagram activity seems to be maintaining but not growing. I doubt an appearance on TVSN is going to fix this for them. Unless they are getting better offers than a charity appearance I predict things will just go back to everyday life for them, she will probably go back into something to do with public relations whether social media or not. I don't know what he will do. But it will look like they are living it up because she is friends with a C-grade celebrity and an events promoter for the Sydney social scene.

Tully liked one of Simon's photos posted just a little while ago so she is using social media just not posting anything.

please enlighten the idiot that I am ... what's the difference between a Melbourne Hipster and a Sydney Hipster ... and can Drew really be defined by that label alone?
I too would like enlightenment on the difference between Sydney and a Melbourne hipster...

That was just one of the aspects. What concerned her more were things like the fact that models would be expected to sleep with photographers to get further and a number of other questionable aspects.

I think it's probably more a case of - she wasn't making it over there and it sounds great to say you've left rather than, you couldn't cut it. She was doig some commercial work at best - she does not have the body or height for editorial.. There's just nowhere really for her to go.

I understand what missbrightside was saying although I don't think that Drew will struggle to fit in in Sydney or Tully's social circles if we're to take his "I'm a social chameleon" statement at face value. He might not necessarily enjoy it all the time but I think he'd be fine.

When I think of a Sydney hipster I think of hanging out at Icebergs, Newtown, activated almonds, drinking green juices, slurping cocktails from Mason jars in bars that are trying to be oh so alternative but haven't quite hit the mark. That kind of thing. For example I wouldn't imagine a Sydney hipster getting excited over a video game, let alone even owing a console unless they were using it as ironic home decor.

When I think of a Melbourne hipster, I think of Fitzroy and Collingwood. A more grungier aspect (not the people necessarily, just the establishments), more alternative music, darker clothing, etc.

Massive generalisations mind you but I have friends in both groups and while I love them all dearly, I do notice a few differences. Could also just be the nutters I know though :)

And can I add to that she has been living in Ballina. It's a little coastal town that is not a satellite to a capital city. If she's getting acting lessons, I'm awfully interested to know from whom. Jade, if she is serious, should spend the money she won for being nice on working at the craft she aspires to. If Tully, Drew or Ed crash and burn they have careers or in Drew's case a university place to go back to. Unless Jade stops seeing being pretty as her one asset, she's never going to be anything but a bit part player on a bad soap.

Exactly. She's in a small coastal town doing acting lessons.. Where allt he greats came from.. NOT! If she was serious or "hard working" she would be auditioning for NIDA, WAAPA or any other credible acting training. As you say prufrock, she SAYS she has nothing else going for her, so why would anyone choose her over someone with real passion and drive (and talent).

To be fair, Jade working two jobs in high school because her mum needed money is little indication of her work ethic now. Just like all kids who slacked in school, didn't work PT jobs and ended up with shitty grades doesn't mean they're all lazy sloths today with a low-paying job. She may be hard working now or she may have been sitting on her arse two shifts a week in a pub before going on BB. None of us know her.

As for the high fashion model thing, come on now. Even she wouldn't say that because it'd be blatantly untrue. She's too busty and too short - and in fact was the shortest one on her season of INTM - and none of the work she's been previously paid for could even remotely be called high fashion. Doesn't mean what she did was lesser work or something to be sneered at at all because it's still awesome she got paid for it. Just a much different genre.

Just saw this - THANK YOU. You are wonderfully articulate as always.

Tully's new tattoo. No ass involved.

I think what you're really describing is university versus post university hipsters (more disposable income).

think though we should at least give her a couple of weeks post-BB gravy train before we criticise her as not being serious about it - not like we can know if she has/hasn't put in applications ... and when would applications close for next intake etc etc anyway ...

honestly don't see her as an actress after viewing her in the house - but who knows - outside the house she might be very different.

I can see Tahan being offered opportunity to go on Celebrity Apprentice much more than I can see Jade being offered it for instance ... simply because Tahan has the stronger personality of the two ... not saying its better ... just better suited ...

not really sure what other shows Channel 9 might offer her ...

will look forward to seeing Justynn in The Love Child for guest appearance though ... wonder what role he had ... lumberjack again?

Could be! Hard for me to say because I went to a friend's birthday party last weekend with everyone there in their mid 30s+ who all fit into that description of Melbourne hipster I gave... that's what prompted me to make the comparison between my Sydney friends. I think the biggest topic of conversation was that new COD game which made me laugh when I saw Tully bought for Drew as well. All of them are post uni and are doing ok with cash but there are some contrasts between the two groups. Again though that's just my very non-scientific findings based on my own experiences so I could be way off base but I did recognise what missbrightside was getting at.

Can you tell I'm slacking with work today?!

everyone knows its important to take mini-breaks ;)

loved his whole rock collection ... quite a boring way to exhibit them ... and what happens when/if they pull the house apart to recreate new one for BB14 ... I hope they think to at least offer them to Tim for a keepsake ...

Now THIS is a showmance I wish we were talking about. :(

I was expecting their social media growth rate to slow that not surprising, it will be interesting to see if they have a drop off by Christmas.
I get the impression Tully fully understands their short shelf life and they are capitalising on it while they can. Both seemed pretty happy about their careers and future in the house they will probably be fine slotting back into it.
I'm not sure when Drew is due back at Uni but I would be suprised if he dropped out, they both really value education I can see Tully advising him to stick with it for now.

I'm so not hipster (not sure we have them in Scotland...) what on earth is an Iceberg, assuming your not talking about lettuce? What is an activated almond?

I had to laugh at the rock display being behind protective glass. I counted there are 18 rocks, Drew sneaked out Tullys and took his own. Did Nathan & Justynn have their own rocks or do we think BB made them return them?

Edit: just read Tims tweet so Drully both have theirs.
