What we all did YEARS ago is irrelevant. I'm talking about now. She is 23 and has no career to speak of. Let's also remember Drew (and others) claiming that everything that comes out of Jade's mouth is a lie. Let the actions speak for her. She lives with her grandma and works in a bar. No "welll respected, high fashion model" works in a bar. Or has to live with their grandparents because they have no money.

Who else said that everything she says is a lie? Also, are we really going to take the word of someone who was very bitter about Jade at the time, and who has also confessed that they themselves lie on a daily basis? A person who has left that career behind does. It doesn't take a genius to understand that.

I don't think it's abnormal for an Italian to live together with their family until they get married. If she helps her grandparents to pay bills & takes care of them, then it's good. It's sad to see the elderly living alone & being lonely in the modern society where family values have played a less important role.

Haha Drew is just a hipster from Melbourne. Yesterday he arrived in Sydney and was whisked straight to Sweaty Betty then spent the night with Simon. Both these are Tullys contacts. I love Tully and Drew, this is not a criticism.
It is very obvious which tweets the social strategist Tully is directing - that's what she is trained in.
Good on them, go for it but it will be short lived if he doesn't get out on his own a bit. He is the marketable one

You realise this is the exact opposite of how Ed described her in the house. He said that she'd changed his perspective on models because he thought they always had stuff handed to them but she hadn't, and that she had worked extremely hard for everything she's gotten. Also 'some modelling'? She was a well-regarded high fashion model who was flown around the world to work. I think the fact that she left this lifestyle that she felt was toxic to start from complete scratch to pursue her real dreams is admirable. This is the opposite of assuming something will happen to her - she actively changed her own life.

And she was doing acting classes just before going into the house and actually got part on that show Camp. As if those things would just happen magically.

To be fair, Jade working two jobs in high school because her mum needed money is little indication of her work ethic now. Just like all kids who slacked in school, didn't work PT jobs and ended up with shitty grades doesn't mean they're all lazy sloths today with a low-paying job. She may be hard working now or she may have been sitting on her arse two shifts a week in a pub before going on BB. None of us know her.

As for the high fashion model thing, come on now. Even she wouldn't say that because it'd be blatantly untrue. She's too busty and too short - and in fact was the shortest one on her season of INTM - and none of the work she's been previously paid for could even remotely be called high fashion. Doesn't mean what she did was lesser work or something to be sneered at at all because it's still awesome she got paid for it. Just a much different genre.

She has admitted coming back to Australia with a broken heart - she may have chosen to remove herself from the modelling scene because of that - and sought the comfort of family

I DO question however this highly successful modelling career that had her flying all around the world ... where are the photos and spreads from magazines? If they are out there they are sure hard to find ...

Jade may have a good work ethic - at whatever she chooses to work at ... but does she have the heart of stone the many rejections of both modelling and (her hoped for) acting careers would involve? Not trying to be negative and say she'd always be rejected but not all actors get ever every role they audition for ... likewise not all models have "The Look" a particular job requires ... hence all the knockbacks ...

I wish Jade a great future - but I think there may have been a bit of creativity in describing her past career ... a few photoshoots does not make a high flying jetsetting modelling career ... I would have expected to see some magazine covers at the very least ...

She is an extremely beautiful young woman. There are many extremely beautiful young women wanting modelling and acting careers ... and I would have thought if she HAD been very successful overseas she would at least base herself with her father and push it there rather than here in Australia where it must be fairly limiting?

She deserves more out of life than cooking pumpkin soup and folding his underpants ... just saying ...

And can I add to that she has been living in Ballina. It's a little coastal town that is not a satellite to a capital city. If she's getting acting lessons, I'm awfully interested to know from whom. Jade, if she is serious, should spend the money she won for being nice on working at the craft she aspires to. If Tully, Drew or Ed crash and burn they have careers or in Drew's case a university place to go back to. Unless Jade stops seeing being pretty as her one asset, she's never going to be anything but a bit part player on a bad soap.

She lives at home in Australia with her Australian family. She is Australian with an Italian father. I have no problem with her living with her Australian grandparents, I was merely making the point to others who claim that she is a successful, high fashion model that she is simply, not. (This was actually directed at [MENTION=33937]crowles[/MENTION]). She has done some commercial modelling in the past but that's it!

She complained heavily about staples and Drew said that it wasn't his problem that she was carb-counting and let's be honest.. anyone with that body IS starving themselves. She looks great but she doesn't EAT! She didn't "leave behind" that industry - she is desperate to get INTO it! Hence, BB!!!

I don't think its fair to criticise where she's been living - moving to Sydney without work lined up would be madness given the expense of living in this city ... she's mentioned wanting to take classes ... she'll get to it when she's ready I'm sure ... she may get offers for Home & Away (which she aspired to) without having to take classes ... and if she proves herself there who knows what she'll get offered in the future ... they all need to ride the BB train whilst its still pulling into their station - it'll pass soon enough ...

Personally she seemed to have her head screwed on right except when it came to Ed - so her taste in men is different to mine - go figure ... mine has a dodgy haircut too at times

However I don't think she'll give up all her aspirations to settle for Ed unless he puts a ring on her finger at the very least.

That was just one of the aspects. What concerned her more were things like the fact that models would be expected to sleep with photographers to get further and a number of other questionable aspects.
