Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

To be honest, not a lot of action today. Jade had breakfast with Ed, his cousin and a friend. The two of them picked up some swag from a sporty clothing shop. Ed said Jade made him pumpkin soup, complimenting her in the process. Jade posted a pic of Ed on the phone. Finally, Jade met Milly (I'm assuming they went to dinner, since #dinnerdate was included with the pic along with #meetingthefam)

Eta...there was also some speculation that Nick might be back tonight (didn't happen so far) and annie the roommate felt the need to chime in by commenting on the Jade/sis pic.

There's been a big edit on Ed's brothers blog overnight - the Obsess-ED one and, I think, the one by phatannie seem to have "disappeared". Also phatannie's comment on the photo last night has "disappeared"

Can't say I'm too surprised. I was wondering if they were going to leave it there. That family...I swear to God. In a weird way it makes me sympathise with Ed. Poor guy never stood a chance. It's good they appear to be playing nice now though for Ed and Jade's sake.

I was thinking this morning that it must have been a difficult 3 days for Jade, being in a new environment, making public appearances, meeting Ed's friends and family and wanting to make a good impression, yet having only Ed as support through it all. Not that I think Ed is a bad guy, necessarily, but that just seems like an incredible amount of stress to handle on her own. I wonder if heading to the Gold Coast and possibly seeing the Sisters may be a bit of a relief.
 
I think Jade and Ed are just friends - not real life couple. I think once Jade finish doing Dreamworld appearances on the weekend - then she will go back to her hometown and live there for good. Just my guess.

Agreed. Especially when you realise that the only other people she probably knew down there apart from Ed were Tahan, Drew, Boog and Jazz lol. I'm not sure what's going on with Jade and Ed, but a few days away from him to think things through after meeting his family and friends, seeing Melbourne etc might be good for her. I thought Ed might go with her to Dreamworld like Tully did with Drew but it doesn't seem like he is. I hope she gets to catch up with Katie and Lucy while she's up there after having to spend 3 days with Tahan lol.

I'm glad Ed's not going with her. If it's going to work they need to give each other space. This way she can just be Jade instead of Jade&Ed. I think she'll probably enjoy catching up with Tim too.. not so much Tahan I wouldn't think lol. I'm trying to find some way of convincing hubby to go to Dreamworld this weekend lol.

The paperwork that Jade put on her twitter about her Dreamworld appearance also mentioned the open house tour on Saturday and that available housemates would also be there.

I kinda roll my eyes and laugh when I see people on Twitter crying that Jade is leaving Melbourne (i.e. Ed), because I think their best chance for survival is to see if whatever is going on can be maintained when they're separated and have their own matters to deal with. Doing the publicity circuit like Jade was in Melbourne is a similar dynamic to being in the house. They have access to one another whenever they want and are working on the same thing, not having to be distracted by their own stuff. That's not sustainable though. Sooner or later the BB bubble will break and they'll have to make it work in the real world.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when Jade is done with Dreamworld. Whether she goes home like [MENTION=37743]jadefan[/MENTION] (welcome btw!) said or goes back to Melbourne. I do think it would be nice if the next time they met up Ed went to Ballina so it's not all Jade having to fit into Ed's life when she has family and friends of her own.

P.s. [MENTION=31088]Insomniac[/MENTION] I hope you get to go! I've been seriously considering it since I'd love to take my little one to Dreamworld anyway but it's just so much hassle organising accommodation, deciding whether to fly or drive up, etc.
