Perhaps BB is concerned that Mr Clooney will go to the toilet in the sand and the housemates might not notice. Then when they have to clean up all the sand at the end they don't want the cleaners to shovel piles of dog poo?
I don't know but that's the only reasonable solution I came up with.
Maybe BB is just attempting humour.

I'm not a dog person (crazy cat lady actually heh) but Mr. Clooney has won my heart. He has such a fantastic personality with his playfulness but above all his cheekiness. Perhaps dog lovers can enlighten me. When it's said that Mr. C needs firmer discipline does that mean stifling the cheekiness and spirit that he has in bundles? How would you go about achieving discipline without sapping his spirit and cheekiness? Delilah from last year was a much gentler soul and I loved her also but Mr. C. actually makes me LOL. Thank you in advance.

It's more to do with his destructive behavior. He seems to have a very similar personality as my dog; energetic, happy, and a little mischievous. My dog is mostly well behaved now, but was a destructive monster as a puppy. It's all cheeky and cute until they destroy 4 pairs of shoes in one week...

I have been rescuing dogs (specifically pit bulls) for 13 years. Discipline does not mean stifling the quirky part of a dog's personality, but rather leading the pack. Well lead dogs are the best mates a person could have! PM me if you would like more details.

Thank you for the reply, LovelyCoconuts. Yes, Mr. C can be very destructive and your experience with the shoes and your puppy, well, that would get old fast (and expensive). heheh

I think so. Plus I think I read here Mr Clooney was listed on the rehoming site as having a digging problem so it's a bit confusing for him to be allowed to dig in the BB house when he probably won't be allowed to at his eventual forever home.

Oh dear.
Well, he would be a disaster then in a suburban back yard !
Needs to be on a property somewhere where his destructive tendencies are less noticeable.
He's only a pup though - he may mellow as he gets older.
I know my cattledog was a hyperactive, destructive nightmare until she was around 2 years old. Now she's a lot calmer and layed back.
