I fell in love with Delilah last year and I am already swooning over Mr Clooney. As a Kelpie owner I can honestly say, cattle dogs, aussie sheep dogs, kelpies, heelers, ANY OF THEM make the best companions! Love Mr Clooney to bits!

Last year Stacey was assigned primary caregiver but, although she loved her, Delilah clearly ended up being Sam's dog. I wonder who Mr Clooney will end up stealing the heart of...

I am so happy with Mr Clooney being there. He is scrumptious. I had a kelpie, too.

Stacey was the wrong choice - she shrieked when the poor girl took a piss on the grass. I liked how this year's lot cheered when Mr C made himself at home. I think he's chosen Mikki, even though she was appointed as his carer. He trusts her and responds to her. It's a beautiful thing to see.

I thought Zoe was the caregiver for Delilah. But I am often wrong.

I think Mr Clooney is a gorgeous dog! Lot's of spunk and loves Mik already. He'll be an asset to the house I think.

Yeah, Mr Clooney's a real sweetie but he'll be a handful. Mine was when she was a pup but she's calmed down a lot now.
I have a soft spot for all working dogs too, esp cattleys. So smart and full of personality.

I reckon he will gravitate towards Tim - they have the same ADD/hyper, fun loving personalities.

No, you are right! I have dementia..poor old thing I am.

Here's hoping the dog turns savage and tears out Mikkayla's throat during one of her "poor me" rampages! You could see the dog was getting uncomfortable while the idiot sat in the diary chair crying and seemingly talking to herself.

I thought it was cute how he growled at Tim wearing those ears. Hehe. Mr Clooney seems gorgeous. He seems to like Mikk but I could see him liking Caleb too.

Mr Clooney looks like a great dog, and though many dog owners may think the protective growl over Mikayla was adorable, it's actully a behavour that needs to be corrected. I'm not saying he's dangerous (at least, not any more than your average dog), I'm saying he needs rules for what is acceptable.

Without them, he could become dangerous - and that's the owner/handler's fault, not his (he's a lovely dog by everything we've seen, just needs some guidance)

I raised this point in another thread but apparently the dog was growling due to being unsure of Tim's hat. Either way, I agree any sort of aggressive behaviour needs correcting.

For sure.
This breed does have the potential to be a little aggressive/snappy/ dominant at times - Mr Clooney probably saw the ears as a potential threat.
He definitely needs a firm hand and good training while he's young to stop him doing this.
They've probably put him in the house to try to socialise him.
Perhaps best that he goes to a home with older teenagers or adults only.

yeah, I've noticed the cheeky boy needs some good training. It's a shame Sam isn't still there, he did so well with Delilah.

I agree with the growling being potentially dangerous. Hopefully it happens again and Mikk controls the situation or something. He is a sweet dog and I hope he gets trained correctly.

I hope Mr Clooney ends up on a farm/station/hobby farm where he can round up animals and herd them. Not cooped up in a suburban yard somewhere feeling frustrated. And when he's not working he can be a playmate for the kids. I grew up on a farm and had kelpies who when not working were great compananions and very protective of their owners family because they felt like they were a member of the family.

That's what I thought. But it was just a little warning grrr.

Are they soft-coated? Seeing Mr Clooney slink around in his over-sized suit is my favourite part of the show currently.

Yeah, it was the Spirithood Tim was wearing. Clooney is only 10 months old. He would have just been unsure. I have a golden retriever who as a pup would growl at almost anything she was uncertain of. She didn't turn into an attack dog though.

Yeah, when Drew finally gets around to telling her to get lost I bet she drapes herself over Clooney next ...... "Ohhhh, mr Clooney, my underwear is seethrough, oops! Don't reject me!"

Gets the peanut butter out

My stumpy cattledog has a surprisingly soft and silky coat but a lot of them have pretty coarse fur that almost feels like scrubbing brush bristles.

Same here. This breed are working dogs, needing heaps of exercise and mental stimulation - definitely not suited to being confined in a small suburban backyard where they are bored out of their brains and can become destructive.
