Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

I honestly think that they felt uncomfortable around jade because of ed. when he left they picked right up where it was left. That's as simple as it is for me. No hidden agendas, no false comforting, no sucking up. Ed was always coming up with conspiracy theories and the boys always knew this. Jade became one of eds cronies for them and therefore things changed, which is why so many fans also got turned off by jade. Ed left and it left room for jade to fix her relationship with the boys, and not even a few days and they are on good terms again. The jade that they knew came back to them and for fans it's a wonderful surprise to see this jade back. Just like she brings out the better in drew, ed brought out the worst in jade. That's how I see it anyways

I'm so so glad that the boys rallied around her. You could just see how much Drew had missed talking to her, and I truly believe that the only reason he was so sneery towards her at times was because he resented the fact that Ed took up her time and he couldn't spend time with her one on one. I think Jade needs someone more like Drew, someone who will display their affection as openly as what she will.

I hope that she keeps herself open to them too this week because I really enjoyed them all back together yesterday.

To be perfectly honest I really couldn't care less why they're being nice to her. After all the crap she's been hit with in the past couple of days I'm just happy she has those two for whatever reason because things at the moment would be 10000000x worse for her if she was isolated without any support.

And while I'd love her to make final 3 or even more, at least now if she has a great week with them she'll be faced with a more positive public reaction too I think than if it had just been all about Ed.

Me too. I said in another post that my favourite surprise would be to see the old jade back, the one that I truly related to. And I'm getting that. i couldn't be more pleased with the way the show ends now.

However from my perspective, neither of them were really ever on bad terms with her but kept their distances because they weren't on good terms with Ed. I think the fact that they were so quick to rally around her is proof of that. And call me naive but it does seem genuine to me. Especially the little things like in the LF yesterday when Tim said to Drew about Jade "she's not an accessory, she's involved in this" and Drew said "I know, I love it" (referring to the Boog hair prank). I don't know, just little things like that make me think they're genuine and not just doing it to appeal to the audience.

I'm also really happy they let her see that stuff about Ed now so she has a few days to process it and she doesn't get blindsided and hit with it on her eviction show.

She has never seen jade speak like that before and it probably shocked her. She probably thinks there are sides to jade she hasn't seen and doesn't know her like she thought she did. Tahan has always spoken like that and everyone is aware of it. The problem is will we see any good footage of her on TV before Mondays eviction. Most only see the daily shows not all the LF's and tonights epp is only 30mins. I wouldn't put it past them only showing her looking miserable and things like that last updade.

I don't think it was all Ed. Remember, Tim started a whole thing that threw Jade off when he started coming on to her big time and then took her to the PS in spite of her discomfort. Tim had been telling anyone who would listen for a week before that that he was going to go for it with Jade and everyone was giggling about the possible fall out. Jade had absolutely nothing to do with that. And then Drew had the whole Tully thing going on during all of this. Drew nominated Jade the week that Ed pulled her up on the block. He had moved away from her before anything really started with Ed.

Jade changed but so did the boys. Jade realized that Tim was manipulating nominations and evictions and that influenced her view of him as much if not more than Ed. She saw how quickly he could turn on someone and they would be gone (see Heidi for example). It wasn't Ed that made Tim decide to use Jade's supposed stupidity as a tool to attack Ed. That was all on Tim. Drew, of course, became this angry, moody person who only seemed to care to spend time with Tully. All of that had an influence on Jade, as did her relationships with the other people in the house, like the sisters and Mikkayla.

I think it's easier for the boys with Jade now because she's no longer a tool, she's back to being a human being in their eyes. That DOES have to do with Ed being gone, but it's as much about them as it is about Ed or Jade.

I don't think it means she's targeting her either. I think that's more Tim's strategy than Tahan's IMO. The way I've always seen it, Tahan does bitch, a lot, but I don't think it's specifically designed to get anyone evicted. It's more just in her personality, not strategic unlike Tim's. I just think it's sad because they really seemed to be getting along and I just don't want the last few days spent bitching. We got enough of that last year. Like I said the update doesn't show any kind of attack, it's simp,y tahan having a bitch, no malice to it. It's human nature to have things in our mind and then later talk about it. She isn't saying anything horrible, she is saying she hasn't seen this side to jade anymore, which shocked her. Just like jade still had ed no I acting her in her mind as she saw a side to him she didn't expect. It's alla out coming to a conclusion and not sure where to stand with it.

There are many sides of the hm's we haven't seen and I know if we were to see them all. We would be shocked or fascinated or love it.

You do bring up some interesting things and it is quite insightful. I don't agree with it all, but I can see how the relationship breakup happened from both ends. What I gathered from your post is all the little things from both ends of the party just became one big thing in the end? That's how I read it. And I think you are right. Drew became busy with his side of things, Tim was busy playing the game, jade was busy with her side of things. You hit the nail on the head with this, so yes they all play a part. But the one part I can't agree on is not placing most of the blame on ed. I feel like he did take advantage of the small things and made it into bigger things where jade was isolated to him and his thoughts all the time. I don't blame her as much anyways, because I think it's human to start believing someones point of view when all you hear is that view. To me ed never really showed himself but always played a version of what he wanted to be perceived as and for me that's this biggest issue. He manipulated jade with this persona and hid his true agenda and jade unfortunately became caught up between ed and them. Jade and them were even further away from each other and the gap kept growing. Something that is easily fixable was being tarnished by eds conspiracies. But it doesn't matter anymore, because he isnt there and she can finally enjoy herself the way she wants without feeling pulled in one direction. With the boys she is able to think on her own, whereas with ed its like she wasn't able to. I remember his convo with Heidi and saying how mikk and jade are just so naive for not seeing things their way. I have always believed that they think whoever does not see things their way was just useless, so if they could make them see their way they became allies. Anyways I hope this makes sense. I feel like I have dived straight into a insightful discussion and I just sound clueless lol.
