Mik his quite racist. She hates being asian. As a way to cope, she thinks that everyone is judging her for being Asian. So she adopted a 'hate asian' mentality. Where she makes fun of being Asian as a way to say, 'hey i get it, I also hate Asians, please like me.' The thing is, she imagines the racism due to her own discomfort with being asian. Someone like boog with white trash. So she just runs with Mik's anti-asian, asian stereotype bullshit and joins in.

From what we've observed, she has said she hates being Asian and people knowing she's Asian. She adopts and makes fun of racist stereotypes which appears to be a coping mechanism with her own inability to accept she's Asian.

If she does hate being Asian then it is a result of many years of racism which society has perpetrated against her, it's an esteem issue rather than a human rights violation.
She is Asian right? So they are Asian stereotypes, her stereotypes. If you were to run that argument she would be stereotyping herself. I stereotype my national heritage all the time and make fun of it. Am I racist too now? Against my own race? How can I? Do you see what I'm getting at

Racism: a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others. Hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.
Dictionary says no as hers works out the other way around. Racism is against another race, not one's own. I too have heard of stretched definitions on here

She doesn't hate being Asian - she hates being different & was picked on, bullied, & judged for it - VERY different - she is NOT racist. I wish people would cut this crap out & show a little compassion for her instead of continuing the same type of judgemental hate she has experienced in the past!!!!

LAWD, you are so wrong on so many levels I don't even know where to start...Mikk isn't racist, her hatred for being Asian results from an unfortunate society that bullies and marginalises. Being adopted by white parents isn't easy either, and just becauses she has her own personal insecurities, doesn't mean she's racist towards other Asians. I mean really, you have no right to judge her considering you don't even know her and we've seen two minutes of her talking about this topic.
Anyway, I've voted a few times tonight for Mikk, don't know if it will save her, but we'll give it a go!

Mikkayla was raised by "white Australians", it would have been difficult to see herself and know she was different like a constant reminder she was not really one of them. She probably was observant of people looking at her and her parents and feeling like they knew she isn't one of them. It's a self loathe for what she looks like not because she is Asian. I'm no mikk fan but this is a sensitive issue and in no way do I think people should throw that in her face. I don't like her for many reasons, but that is not one of the reasons.

Sure Mikkayla has her insecurities like everyone does, but I think she is strong person and is willing to stand up for herself. Are there things about her that bug me,sure like everyone else does things to bug me. But out of all the housemates, I like her the best. I enjoy rooting for the underdog that is willing to stand up for herself. Go Mikkayla, I hope she is saved.
