Mikkayla Appreciation Thread

Not only would she then be safe but she is also brave enough to chuck that Tully in for eviction in her place.
 
Mikkayla has really grown on me, second favourite after Tully. Lovely personality without dealing in bullshit.

I'd like to point you towards the words of someone who is far wiser than any of us in this forum,Voltaire:

"I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." - The essence of freedom of speech boiled down to a simple, eloquent sentence. A giant of philosophy defending the rights of all people to express their opinion.

Next up, let's make up a little list of people who hated difference of opinion and took every opportunity to belittle those who thought differently to them:

- Adolf Hitler
- Josef Stalin
- Idi Amin
- Pol Pot

And the list goes on and on and on and on...

More importantly, however, how about some of you actually counter someone's argument with a rational argument rather than a mindless stream of insults? What gives you the right to decide the validity of someone's point?

In summary, stop being such a pack of whiny, petulant children and actually make an valid argument rather than simply hurling insults at anyone who questions you.
 
@ ejeect, I applaud your post. Well, said. We all have our favorites and we can argue rationally without resorting to bullying tactics.
 
I really do want to see mik win showdowns this week but I get the sad feeling people like Tully and Matt are going to be plotting her downfall in the arena from the get go. Would just be delicious though if she did win and swapped with Tully!

Surely Ed would go first??? The Sulky lot will vote for Spew, Ben will be safe, jade has lots of support now. I reckon Tahan or Ed out. Although obviously the swap will change things.
 
Last night the edit said Mikkayla was a fat, greedy, racist Asian with a bad laugh. I do not think they expected her to be as clever and good, or lucky, as she has turned out to be.

I really hope she wins the fake eviction. Jade and Ben are too nice to take advantage, Ed is dull, the sisters won't win, Tahan would be fun, but Mikkayla is clever and tactical enough to take full advantage, as well as being THe Cat, which would add another layer of fun.

1: You are agreeing with Tesa responding to my post that was in response to a previous post of hers, have you read her previous comment?

2: I'm no bully and I do respect peoples opinions, so don't start throwing that around. I find it funny that you are defending everyone's right to opinion yet while you do that you are condemning other peoples.

3: "what gives you the right to decide the validity of someone's point?" ..really? Again this leads me to believe you did not read the comment that I had responded to with what I said, if you had..then maybe you would have seen that I was responding to immaturity with exactly the same thing and was more than called for.

4: I'm admittedly quite new to forums, and have been and still am learning the ins and outs of the whole 'culture'. Shortly after signing up to this site, I had found myself drawn to the Anti-Mikkayla thread defending her and voicing my opinions, only to be shut down and told that I had no place there with my opinions, after that and some further realisation that I didn't belong there, I respected it and have not been back since. The main Issue with Tesa is that she was one of the main people I'd clash with in there and had been one of the main people telling me that I had no place there, so I will now do the same to her here and point out that this is the Appreciation thread for Mikkayla and I stand by my post in regards to her being a moron because her post warranted it.

So, please don't call me a bully or compare me with people like Adolf Hitler...It's quite offensive.
 
Hey, Big Bro is manipulating the sentiments of the viewers as how he wants them to perceive each housemate by showing snippets of live videos. So from now on I will reserve my judgement. Frankly, none of the housemates are bad enough to deserve any dislike from me. I can empathize with each and everyone of them. This is a social/psychological game with the 250,000 dollar prize reward. And this can put a strain on everyone. Just saying.
