They were acting fairly overexcited during the entire thing, especially when they first walked in there. I understand that they may have been genuinely excited, but that much? Over a little space randomly decorated with flags? Nah, I feel like they were told to possibly amp up their reactions.

Locked up in the same place for a week with very little stimulation and FINALLY something new! OF COURSE THEY'RE EXCITED!

Also, it's a shame there's no live component to the show, that was the one thing I was looking forward to with FNL being brought back.


There's still life left in the original concept, it's just that this isn't it, or even close to it.

Totally agree pecan....and the one thing that's always bugged me about FNL are most of the challenges depending on physical strength and athleticism ...Geezus that irks me. For starters it should have been two blokes hanging over the water and last remaining contestants on the rope should have been females....more mental challenges would be appreciated.....

Shelly was pathetic and really completely unnecessary to the whole process....and the show just lacked continuity.

And that bed in the P.S was hideous....both blokes could barely fit on it...hopefully when they leave the room they could put a few little puncture holes in it...

With so little content, and zero live content, we might as well be watching a cast of improv actors acting out specific storylines.

And this Monday, they're adding in three new housemates so we'll see, what? 10 minutes of the events of Friday, Saturday and Sunday?

That is what I thought too. She should have cheered him on more and he should of ran to her when he dropped her
 
How do we think Showdown is put together? It was fairly obvious that Shelley's part was recorded last.

Do you think Mikey G and Michael actually commentated live? Or did they:

1. Film the games at the house on Friday night
2. Edit sections that they plan to show and then have Mike and Michael commentate to those edited section (or did they commentate the whole thing live, and their live commentating was edited??)
3. Some time later get Shelley to record her part with some pre-planned linking questions to the boys to give the illusion of a live show

agreed! But it must be kind of awkward, having to pretend to be married to someone you've never met.

married couples sometime can act independently of each other. Perhaps he doesnt want to smother her?

I am almost certain what you said has occurred. The crosses between SHelly and the boys was really horrible.

Why do you want them to be a real couple? She obviously can barely stand being around him and he is into her for her looks. There is nothing about these two that screams couple. More like brother and sister.
 
I was disappointed with the showdown.

I wanted Tahan to fall into the water with the eels & then the ninjas to come running on & lock her in.

For a so called 'country' girl, she can't handle certain conditions.

Yes, you got it right - not sure about the second one - I think they were there when it was being filmed to be honest with you.

If they want games and do not want to run it live, the outcome of the Saturday showdown can be incorporated into an extended highlights show. There is no reason to have Michael on your payroll, because the hosts are superfluous here - there really is no need for any of them at all if it's not going to be live. Part of the fun of FNL - as stupid as it was and as glad as I was to see it go, was watching the games unfold live and watching the three hosts interact live. They have all the time in the world on Saturday nights, so if Saturday Showdown is going to be like this, then it might as well not exist.

I assumed the show was to decide who lives on the rich side of the house, and who lives on the poor, hence the 4 week running time. All this show decides is on who gets the rewards room and the nominations superpower. It's clear now that the "four week" thing is an experiment in the ratings. If it rates well, they might extend that. If it rates bad, they will scrap it after four weeks. I hope it tanks.

I know!!! I don't know HOW they are going to fit Fri, Sat & Sun in to one show! What on earth were/are they thinking! Makes me so mad!!! Not sure why it's only a 4 week run - maybe they have other ideas once it's over or maybe what someone else said, they only have $20K to give? LOL! With the look of the set last night that might very well be!

Well evictions are monday aren't they? So sundays will be less cramped.
