I bought my sons one of the tardis biscuit barrels each for their birthdays in October. It was about $30, it plays the tardis noise when you open the lid. They use it to keep their treasures in, they love it. I also got them a couple of tshirts, one said "Keep calm and don't blink" and the other one is covered in tally marks..and they got the "Build your own Sonic Screwdriver" sets each. They thought it was brilliant. (they turned 12 and they are really into Dr Who stuff)

Awwwwww
And very good work Wynter teaching them to have such good taste.
I really want something TARDIS, and it has to have that evocative sound, usb port looks good - I think I could use that Doc Who noise to go to sleep to and have DW dreams.
Isn't it strange how some people just avoid DW, trying to convert them is almost impossible - they developed some aversion, maybe had geeky DW siblings who beat them up or something.
My older brother almost did this to me, he would beat me up or anyone to control the TV at Who time or any time, but I started to watch it with him at age 7 or 8, he was 14 and a bully and it's the only thing we ever had in common.
I keep telling them - but you don't know what your missing, most DW episodes are like awesome movies, it's the best TV show ever made you fools.
I think some actually feel like fools when they try to watch and think it's too complicated and only for geeks & brainiacs
(this is most of my family) and they just need to let go and have fun....

I came across this via Pinterest ..thought I"d post it for those interested.

You have a very cool avatar
Why thank you.
As you can see, I'm quite enthralled with the Weeping Angels. (hence the avatar)
Mistress Anonymia - I am very, very glad that you chose a pic with their eyes covered. The angels in full fright scared the bejesus out of me!
This is where I'm tempted to make a very delayed animated avatar -- solely for this reason. Lol!
...hey Mistress Anonymia... something like these?...

...I had some time on my hands and messed around in Photoshop... please feel free to use any or none of them if you wish... I had fun making them... the Angels are awesome... cheers.
That's awesome. I wish all that stuff was around when I was 12. (I still want it now, but don't tell anyone...)
I want it all too! I had a red Dalek keying that had a little light too. I loved it, the kids fought over it & he is now broken

wynter - those birthday gifts are just awesome

^^ LOL! did you really smack him one? If I had of just watched the first weeping angel ep (the one with sally sparrow) then I would have freaked & decked him too!
And please, please, pretty please warn me if you do change your avatar into an animated one?
...lol!... Miss Anonymia may have to warn you el'coopo... there are four for her to choose from to use if she wishes... then again... those ones may spur her onto to creating her own version now lol!... hmmmm... myself... I think that the third one is the scariest out of them all...
...by the way... I forgot to mention that the light flashes on and off while making that 'arooogharooogh' sound on the Police Box USB thingo in the post of mine above... cheers.

Yeah, it's all click together. It has a central tube thing that has the batteries and lights and sound controls in it and all the rest just click and change around it so you can change the look. They love it.

View attachment 30048
And more about Christmas, sounds great, spoilers..........
Jenna-Louise will make her Doctor Who debut in the hotly anticipated festive special, which also guest stars the likes of Richard E. Grant, as Dr. Simeon, an evil mastermind who commands an army of vicious snowmen.
Set in the Victorian era, the one-off episode will see the Doctor emerge from the deep depression he sank into after his former companion Amy Pond and her friend Rory Williams were stolen from him by the weeping angels at the end of the last series.
Fans will also no doubt be delighted to be reintroduced to Madame Vastra, Jenny and Strax, three popular terrifying sub-characters.

I've seen that on a Papercraft website. Put that into google or youtube and you'll see some amazing models made entirely out of paper.
For instance.
