Give up benny boy fans, give up if you know what's good for you. If my calculations are correct over half a million votes have been registered up to this point which means 1% point equals at least 5000 votes and potentially 10,000 if over 1 million.
Estelle has a 4% lead on benny boy so her lead on actual number of votes is between 20,000 (5,000*4) and 40,000 (10,000*4).

Interesting - and encouraging, if correct. Where did you come across the half a million figure for total votes cast?

Let's hope you're right, although regardless of the total numbers, I suppose it's still really about percentage point swings. That said, a 4% lead will take a lot to overturn.
