MAX Bygraves, a veteran singer and comedian known for his old-fashioned charm, has died in Australia. He was 89.

Apparently his wife of 70 years died a couple of weeks ago.

Aaww. I used to love that guy (many years ago when songs like "You're a pink toothbrush" and "Gilly, Gilly, Ossenfeffer, Katzenellen Bogen by the Sea" appealed to my sense of humour)

I do think I still have one of his LPs. Pity I have nothing to play it on anymore. RIP, Max. Thanks for the fun.
