ok eliza I will appeal to your nice side. The man in question is Michael Peterson. I took it as my avee in 2007 wat before he passed away. Basically I did it for the people I was close to.

Michael was a no the most talented surfer the world ever saw.

I Knew him well, He had an addiction to heroin and some on his forum knew I had a similar problem

The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court ordered the owners of an Israeli reception hall to pay damages to a lesbian couple after refusing to host their wedding for ideological reasons.

Following the precedent-setting ruling, the Moshav Yad Hashmona events hall must pay the couple, Tal Ya'akovovich and Yael Biran, NIS 60,000 in damages.

The court has also ordered the owners of the reception hall to pay NIS 20,000 in legal and court fees, which is on the relatively high side.

The fine will teach the public a lesson about the value of equality and tolerance, in addition to compensating the same-sex couple, the judge explained.

The plaintiffs were married in England in 2008 in a civil ceremony, and wanted to host a wedding party for their families and friends in Israel. The couple contracted to hold the event at the reception hall in Yad Hashmona. But when the reception hall owners realized that the wedding party was for a lesbian couple, they informed Ya'akovoich and Biran that the hall does not hold events for same-sex couples, and canceled their reservation.

Yad Hashmonah is the only Messianic Jewish settlement (moshav) in the world. Its witness is one of the most significant to the nation of Israel. Last year two lesbians requested to arrange a wedding reception at these facilities. When the moshav explained that this was against their principles of faith, the lesbians sued them for sexual "harassment." This week the sentence was handed down against Yad Hashmonah with a fine of 75,000 shekels.

The moshav office is being flooded with antagonistic correspondence. The lesbians have received positive media coverage for "the victory of their enlightened sexual preferences over the primitive views of the Messianic cult."

The problem with the fine is that others in the homo-lesbian community will seek to hold events, with threats of more law suits. Moshav representatives told the court that with such a sentence they may have to shut down all of their hotel-conference-restaurant facilities. The judge said, "better that you shut down everything than continue to discriminate (against sexual preferences)."

Such an attack could not have happened to an orthodox Jewish institution in Israel, because the religious establishment would rise in protest. But the Messianic community is left undefended, stranded between secular and religious clashes ...

Fascinating (as well and hypocritical) that those who wish to be respected for their same gender relationship lifestyle choices aren't willing to respect the lifestyle choices of Messianic Jews.

Oh well, just another one of the signs of the times ... and for the end times.

No prizes for guessing which kind of chosen lifestyle will be permitted to prevail once Yeshua Ha Mashaiach returns.

I do know who he is, I grew up by the beach in the 70's, still not understanding the quick to judge comment, did someone say something nasty that I missed?

By saying this I will be open to be banned. Thank you that you understand how difficult this can be. Alot of pro surfers from the late 70s and 80s fell to drugs including yrs truly.

It is incredibly difficult to change lives. hakman and Nat and kenny etc all were hooked. We still battle our demons. My reference was not you you but to all. michael i surfed with for 15 years, he never talked about his connection to heroin. He wouldnt.

I guess i am asking you to understand it. It aint like smoking.

I talk to all the guys I surfed with in the 70s and they say "we all have it"

So Im asking for understanding. usually i would just abuse you so yasee

Some weird organisations in that list. Why would the Taxi board need to see the data being held? Police I can understand but that Geez...

Having said that this is a very Stasi like thing that you wouldn't expect from a democracy.

Oh, so you're beginning to realise at long last that if you support either the greenazis or their fellow totalitarian minded left-urdian bed-buddies, the ALP (the political arm of the unions) with your vote, then you're voting to abandon democracy and replace it with the the tyranny of totalitarian (national) socialism.

How could you think that a vote for Milne & Brown/Bandt or Fabian Socialist Gillard's crowd would take you anywhere else other than AWAY from democracy and towards the terrifying dystopian type worlds one can read about in the famous book "1984" and its like ?

sigh, will you never realise that The Coalition or "liberals" are about SMALL government, libertarianism, and taking responsibility for yourself whereas the the collectivists mafia/union ALP and greenazis are about MASSIVE government, totalitarianism, and being "married to the state" socialism ?
