Not grubby..........more shabby, and you right, they are not 'groomed' .
Even good clothes look crap on them, they don't know how to wear clothes, the hats are allways weird & worn wrongly/wrong angles, rarely anything flattering.
And all shabby girls, probably can't be bothered with all this ceremonial crap......thus they never really get dressed up the same way, they leave buttons undone, coats undone, just allround sloppier & not the same attention to detail.

Agree ^ You would think the Designers would send someone along to help them dress, make sure their headwear is placed correctly etc.

Will be interesting to check out all the headwear at Ascot this year with the NO FASCINATOR rule.
