Deaths of Minor Celebrities

Yes......where's the respect?

NB Honouring the dead and marking their passing is one of the things that separates humans from other life forms on this planet.

Anzac Day Coming up...I'm ready to honour that too.

well said Medusa..

Very heartfelt eulogy from Garry Lyon - not a dry eye in the house.

No mention (so far) of Jason Akermanis - as it should be.

pecan you are one of the most intelligent around here...did you know of what will come out in the coming weeks?

:( loved his cover of "under the milky way"

Not a death and not exactly a minor celeb considering they are in the five top selling artists of all time but I didn't know where else to post it. Robin Gibb has developed pneumonia and is in a coma and not expected to live much longer. He was in remission from his cancer and was doing well last I read. Sad, Barry will have lost all three of his younger brothers, none of whom reached a great age. Robin is only 62. Maurice died in 2003 and Andy died way too young, in 1988. Andy was hot! He was the one I had my Gibb brother crush on.

And poor Barry suffers fron severe arthritis - apparently at times so debilitating it was actually his condition that caused them to semi retire, I think the modern meds have vastly improved things, all round sad.

Robin Gibb looked extremely unwell when he toured here in Nov 2010.
So much talent, but not much good health in that family.
:(

Greg Hamm, from Men at Work, played that amazing flute riff. Unconfirmed reports he was found dead in the northern burbs
