dannii minogue confirms split from kris smith

the rumours have been flying for months, and now singer-turned-reality tv star dannii minogue has confirmed reports her romance with boyfriend kris smith is over.

The 40-year-old star was forced to deny rumours suggesting she had parted from the model last year, but the gossip emerged again on tuesday - and the couple, who share toddler son ethan, has now revealed the sad news is true.

In a series of posts on twitter, dannii writes, ‘it brings me great sadness to tell you that kris & i have separated. We still care for each other & ask for privacy at this difficult time, in particular for our son ethan who remains our number one priority.

‘needing to retreat for a while. Thank you for your ever loving continued support.’

kris adds, ‘dannii and i have a deep mutual love and respect for each other and although things have not worked out we have a gorgeous son together that we both love and implore everyone to respect our privacy at this challenging time.’

the couple began dating in the summer of 2008 after meeting at kris's 30th birthday party in ibiza. Their son was born in july, 2010.

She has seen him hasn't she? Does that article have his cryptic tweet in it? Sounds like Dannii being a diva.

Japan has SOME sense of humor. Supposedly, these are not girls with their underwear showing- they are prints on the skirts that make it LOOK like panties.
 
Kris' tweet was along the lines of 'it is nice to be important but also important to be nice. I don't really know what I am supposed to do' my second sentence is paraphrased - the important/ nice bit is right though.

I think those Japan skirts are a really old thing.

First time I have seen them, I think they are funny. They do remind me of the shopping bags that were all the rage not long ago.
 
Katie WITHOUT Suri who is hopefully not being carried by whoever is looking after her.
