I've been watching old Dr Who and love it. I just got my copy of the Key To Time series. Something annoyed me about that, and I don't know if anyone's mentioned it before but.
In the episode "The Power Of Kroll" the TARDIS materialises on the planet in the middle of the swamp yet at the refinery they track the ship as if it were landing. This isn't the only episode it's happened in. It's happened in a few old ones but I don't think any of the new ones.
How can anyone track the TARDIS landing when it doesn't fly like a normal ship would? Of course I assume the Doctor could make it take off and land in the usual way but he never does.
So which is it?

Brilliant Doctor Who wrap up video with The Proclaimers as the tune

So here, finally on the internet is The Ballad Of Russell And Julie, performed by David Tennant, John Barrowman and Catherine Tate, reprising the whole of the first four series, with Russell played by David and Julie by Catherine.

Internet do your work. References to Jon Barrowman’s propensity to flash his penis, Russell’s obsession with Skins and even Outpost Gallifrey even gets a mention…
I had no idea Catherine Tate could sing. I love Catherine Tate as Donna

Adorable![]()
They are cute but pricey.
I just got this. It's Doctor Who lego basically.

I only got it for the mini figures, the tardis was a PITA to assemble, more the doors and aligning the pins so they open.. Those two mini figures used to be sold in plastic bags but you were never told which bag contains what so you would get random characters, unless you cheated and felt the plasic figure inside which I think most people would have to get the one they wanted. Anyway.

Have you seen this? Plans for a Doc Who movie????
David Yates the Harry Potter director has confirmed they are planning a Doc Who movie, with different writers and actors.
I like the idea.
I liked the first one with Paul McGann he would have made a fantastic Doctor, had he been given a series.

Y'all know this is a completely foreign thread to me, so apologies if this is old news.
From TV Tonight.
Rumour: Doctor Who down under?
Could Doctor Who be planning to film episodes in Australia?
TV Tonight is hearing whispers from the UK that the long-running science-fiction series is considering a move to film multiple episodes in Australia in mid-2012.
That’s enough to get any Who fan, anywhere, excited…
Last season the show featured two episodes filmed in the US, “The Impossible Astronaut” and “Day of the Moon.” It has previously filmed in international locales including at Rome’s Cinecittà studios for “The Fires of Pompeii” and the United Arab Emirates for “Planet of the Dead.”
But Australia would be another first.
There’s still much that needs to be sorted before an Aussie sojourn becomes a reality, but it’s certainly a tempting idea.
Next year the show will screen in the UK’s autumn season, but filming in mid-2011 would likely be for episodes in 2013.
Writer Steven Moffat told the Daily Beast, “The only thing that’s happening is that we’re moving a bit later. There’s lots of reasons for that that will become clear quite soon.”
Who reaches its 50th Anniversary in November 2013.

Ok this is a completely self-indulgent and annoying post, as everyone hates hearing about other people's dreams, but ...
I had a dream last night that I was a companion to Matt Smith and he regenerated in the middle of the adventure into John Cleese (yikes).
And I had another dream a few weeks ago that I was flying around in the TARDIS, but my TARDIS was exactly the same size on the inside as it was on the outside, damn it. PLUS there was no floor, so when I landed on grass, I was standing on grass. (Don't know how I managed not to fall out while flying with no floor, but I turned into a bee after that, so whatever).
