American Psycho.
Nowhere near as good as the novel, but still enjoyable.

Ooooooh I have only recently discovered this thread - trust me I would have replied to the Darcy one.. I loved Colin Firth in Bridget Jones' Diary too![]()
This is not a movie but a TV series.. I recently rented the BBC series North and South (author Elizabeth Gaskell) out of curiosity and man was I pleasantly surprised... It's nearly 4 hours long but every minute of Richard Armitage is worth it. He is just yummiliciousThe new Mr Darcy for me....

Watched I Am Legend yesterday.. bit of a let down.
I'm betting he doesn't look as good in speedos as the D'Arcy I'm referring to, lol
I caught the second and third episodes of this when it was on TV so I have to hunt it down to get the full story. It is typical BBC drama style but a very good and interesting story.

Did you watch the dvd extras with the alternate ending Jay? Alot of people are wondering why they didn't use this one and liked it alot better.
oh yes absolutely... I love the BBC productions.. Bleakhouse and Our Mutual Friend are other series that are just as fantastically made as well ... And of course Pride and Prejudice which is one of my all time favourites...
"I Am Legend" is sort of the American version of "28 Days Later", but with the nasty stuff softened for middle-of-the-road audiences.
I'm convinced that they used CGI-Zombie/Vampire/Rage baddies as a way to disconnect the viewers from the situation. Make it a bit cartoonish. Otherwise you'd have nasty blood and guts Zombie slaughter scenes that the Will Smith fans just wouldn't come and see. They want Action, not Gruesome.

Isn't that rated MA? You shouldn't be watching that at your age.. could give you nightmares.
Steam comes out of my ears whenever I think about that film ~L~
Jay, read the book. It's only short but it's fantastic and makes alot more sense!
Oh yeah, I like Dickens' work...but I've only read novels. Including Bleakhouse and of course Great Expectations, with Bleakhouse being my favourite I think. I find it more difficult to get into the screen adaptations unfortunately.
Nah their were no extras on the film I rented.
