It's just way too much money to refuse, ontop of that, I wouldn't actually be worried about the housemates' reaction if I turned it down I'd worry about my friends/family and the public.

Yep! I would've been ballin'. It's a game show and people forget that. I don't buy that bullshit that they're here to make friends or whatever reason they have. Reasons these people go in is to win or get some fame from it.
