This actually makes sense.Could they be testing out the systems and using the housemates who were testing out the house for "influencer night"?
You probably need to add a 0 to that figure, even two, to get to influencer territory.Anyone with over 500 friends/followers should be excluded. This is going against finding real people with genuine motives.
I'd be more concerned about the "for entertainment purposes only". Basically admitting they can disregard the result and do what they want anyway.Someone was on the livestream chats a few weeks ago claiming that this would happen. We all laughed and assumed they were making this all up, they even got banned from the chat after BB called them out for saying nothing that was true.
And now they're right... Coincidence, or were they actually leaking info?
Also, what a weird disclaimer on the voting page when you click on someone:

Agreed. I somehow have 8K. I only follow 172 people and I haven't posted on my socials in years. You probably need to add a 0 to that figure, even two, to get to influencer territory.
my friend is a producer who has worked on farmer wants a wife etc. and he said production will say anything during the advertisement phase if it wins them an audience. If these people are actually housemates... Omfg.
Didn't they specifically say at some point that they weren't wanting influencer famewhores and wanted "real" people?
This is true. But back in the 2000s they had to be interesting and/or entertaining on the show to get any traction on that front. Nowadays the influencers that go on the shows are bland or fake as fuck to avoid controversy so they don’t burn bridges for future collabs/deals and are only there to grow their follower count.I think people forget that a lot of people even in the OG BB days wanted a media career out of the show, this is just today's version of it.
Hmm, yes and no. Gogglebox is a perfect example of placing completely fresh, no frills “regular” everyday people in front of a camera. There’s a few Gogglebox participants I think would be more than wonderful for a show like Big Brother - and whom could easily capture an audience. So I don’t think it’s impossible, especially not by Ten’s producers and casting teams.but I do feel like most people would know at least 1 or 2 influencers/content creators or people who aspire to be one these days, so it seems only natural that at least one or two are in the house.
