Why was Ben evicted?

The only possible explanation that can be provided for a shock eviction of a popular HM is complacency. At least, it's the only explanation I can think of.

I'm guessing people didn't vote to save Ben because they thought he was safe but the crowd just loved him to bits.

Lot of people didn't like Ben12 either.

Ben12 is a bit of a sissy but you could laugh at him because you knew he was mature enough to handle it.
Ben13 is just an outright joke! (and not a good joke [the kind of joke you wish you were somewhere else when you heard it]).

Here here!!!

Homophobia pure and simple. Ppl say they like gays and lesbians but really don't and its not conservatives but the liberal left. I bet everyone who hates Ben on this forum votes Green or Labor-so much for inclusion. And we wonder why same sex marriage will never happen in this ****ry? LOL

Lol, to say that Ben was voted out due to homophobia is hilarious. As others have mentioned, a gay man won last year and this year when Tully cheated on her girlfriend the reaction wasn't one of "yep, that's right, all women need cock", but instead it was one of outrage that she could disrespect the relationship. Thus Australia was saying itself that it respected a gay and a lesbian relationship as equally as a straight one.

Ben was voted out because his child-like mannerisms are sweet and endearing at first, but after awhile any sweetness wears off and he is just a completely inept man in his 30's.

People didn't vote for Ben because we don't like him enough to care. If he was so goddam well-liked, he'd be safe.

I actually think it was the best outcome for the show, given the HMs that were up for eviction.

spot-on. ditto for tully. tears only get you so much sympathy before the show must go on.

i actually think his mother had a wicked witch of the west thing happening that ay have put a few people off.

I don't know, maybe you should ask the Coalition why it will never happen.. Last I heard Labor was allowed to vote on it and it's one of the Greens official policies.. Now I know you are just a troll because no one can really be this idiotic, but come on man, just stop trolling.

Complacency.

Ben fans thought it was a given he was safe and so probably threw their votes to Drew (or someone else) instead.

I wasn't a Ben fan, but as a TIM supporter I have learned a very invaluable lesson from this. DO NOT GET COMPLACENT!!

i detected a smirk of arrogance when he was sitting there next to ed and tim, like 'what have i got to be worried about?'.
it soon vanished and he was back to plain old boring ben. pastey, bald as a badger and utterly uninteresting!

Exactly, doubt it had anything to do with the comedian thing. Maybe one of the reasons was the excessive crying as of late?
Ding ding ding. We have a winnah. Who wants to watch someone walk around bursting into improbable tears at the drop of a hat?

Now, I know a lot of people have complained about favouritism towards Ben but I think that the producers had a helping hand in evicting him tonight. The Jade and Ed date was such an obvious attempt to get Ed more votes. I suspect that they saw Ben at 4th with Ed close behind at 5th over the weekend and thought to themselves: "Wow, imagine if Ben got the flick this week. That would be a shock." Then the producers pulled out some cards from their sleeves and voilà.

I know lazy, unsuspecting voters are probably to blame but for real, Ben has been the most saved every time he's been up (as far as I can remember) and he always gets a huge cheer. His fan base is larger than anyone's, even Tim's. Even if a chunk of people thought "No way he's leaving, I'm not voting this week", surely there'd be enough people who still did vote that it would keep him out of trouble.

It MAKES NO SENSEEEEEE
