Why no Twitch Stream?

I am loving the simplicity of the TikTok stream. And in the last 3 days the follow count has gone from 2.7m to 4m so there's no doubt it is a massive success.

But I feel like they're not monetising it?! The only ads that appear are for 10 shows. I love that - I hate ads... but from a purely financial view, surely this isn't efficient.

At least if they were streaming on Twitch, it would serve ads and they could make some $$$ from it (btw I know there is the 10 stream with their ads)... but hear me out, at least with Twitch, if you have a Amazon Prime sub, you get 1 free sub where you can watch ad free.

Basically, you can still watch the BB stream ad free, Amazon pays for the ads... WIN/WIN!

The more money the show makes, the more likely it is to be renewed, bigger prize money, more production budget (e.g. the return of Friday night games etc.)

Twitch is aimed at gamers, who are not the biggest watchers of Big Brother.

EndemolShine has already aired three seasons of a shorter, influencer-heavy version of Big Brother on Twitch. The inaugural season reached more than 2m unique viewers and 8.8m live views within 57 hours - in addition to the views the live stream got on YouTube and a local streaming platform.

The show is done with one of Germany's biggest influencers and is hosted on his channel, which makes the show easier to be found and sold to viewers in the first place. But I would say that even Twitch viewers would stick around when they find such a channel.

Sorry to call this out but I have read so many wrong things about the TikTok on here. The 4m number you refer to is the number of LIKES on the stream, not the number of followers (331k).

Tiktok wouldn't allow them to run their own ads.
