Why don't people like Ben?

kbomb yup ... I think everyone's a dog person - they just don't know it yet cos they haven't had their hearts melted by a cute widdle puppy :) ... sad really, cos they bring SOOO much joy and fun and happiness to your life, yet they don't know it. Hope Benno makes the most of it

Gotta say tho it was pretty funny watching Mr Clooney keep jumping back in Ben's bed :P ... but that's also a sign that Mr C needs more training (and I think he's only a puppy still? 8 months or sommit?). Come on Mik!

I have a terrible fear of dogs and its legitimate. Hate it when dismiss someones dislike for them just because they themselves love dogs. If a dog jumped on my bed I'd be terrified.
 
cj93: I accept your fear and agree its genuine - I'll admit im still intimidated by some certain dog breeds, obviously the larger ones like pitbulls etc, but it was a cute little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that was my first pet dog, and she was a heart melter :)

Yes Ben should not treat the dog with rough aggression, but it IS perfectly reasonable to not like dogs. I'm terrified of them and absolutely hate it when people dismiss my fears and tell me I'm being ridiculous. You don't like dogs you don't like them, end of story.
 
Okay I've seen it and really don't think it's a big deal. He just wanted to show him sleeping on the bed is a no go. And if it was truly aggressive, I think Clooney would not get back on it (he'd be too scared). Ben is a clean freak and probably not used to dogs so it would be strange to suddenly sleep with one.
 
I agree with tilliii, Ben wasn't aggressive with Mr Clooney, he was just moving the dog off his bed... ok he fell over a couple times which couldve ended badly but they didnt, but Ben doesnt have a bad bone in his body, he's never had a dog before, it's understandable he doesnt want a dog sitting on his bed pillow, and he just tried his best with his limited dog knowledge to remove the dog from his bed to the ground.

The problem is quite simple: both Ben and Mr Clooney are puppies :)

Ben is a bobble head of a house mate. He doesn't do anything. He serves no purpose. Yet some people just find him amusing to watch. They look at him and just smile or laugh. Just for the very fact he is.

That's why I don't like him as a housemate. I expect more than some cheap crappy novelty.

Well UAN you might have to sit yourself down and take some deep breaths because he's very well liked on the outside and will probably win it or be runner up.

Personally I think Ben12 came very close to killing it and yeah Terri, nobody else and Ben13 certainly wouldn't.
 
I just hate when ANY BB Production push one player so hard. Yes they did that with Terri to the extreme and now with, Nanna, Mum and Ben.
WHO is voting for him?!?!?!

I agree that he acts like a child and he's fake. The reason why I'm saying this is: how could anyone hire him as a flight attendant acting like a child? No one would hire Ben with that attitude. Is there any proof he was that was a flight attendant and acted that way?
 
I do believe that Ben has played the house and all the viewers because they have fallen for his crap. That's why they keep saving him. Did you see the sugar sisters babying him when he came back? He's got everyone played and fooled. Stupid people.

There's a lot of speculation that he's an actor... i'm still sitting on the fence but leaning towards NO he isnt an actor, but I guess we'll just have to wait til the finale :)

but if this is his modus operandi I dont think it will work, because Tim has always been getting the #'s over him (and i think rightfully so too, because watching Ben is like watching paint dry, whereas Tim has always been trying to proactively keep things entertaining, and we watch TO BE ENTERTAINED!)

It seems that this season might actually see the most entertaining housemate win... finally! :)
