Why do people like mikkayla!?!?!?

Tahans biggest problem with Mikki is that she won't talk it out face to face, she denies any faults or wrong doings on her behalf and pulls others in to back her up....one of tahans diary room rants was all about it

She's an English teacher but doesn't know the true meaning of genuine.. ?

True....lol
She said genuine means caring.....no wonder jade got it wrong

btw i loved jades comment about how it couldnt be geniune because Ed was up top as the most hahaha

She is immature and petulant, you can see this in how she reacted to Justynn playing with Mr Clooney, there was no reason for her to get upset about that,

Even when Justynn revealed the fact he had lost his own dog, a cattle dog, and most people might react to that story with empathy or sympathy and realise that the connection was not "all about her"and that she would be returning to her own dogs whom she voluntarily abandoned to go on the show, once evicted. The fact that Mr Clooney also liked Justynn seemed not to matter to her either. She should have been happy that he was receiving love, care and attention.
But no, it was not enough that all the human beings in the house must hate Justynn, but he must also not be allowed any contact with HER dog either.

She is taking her dislike of Tahan too far. I don't actually think of Mikkayla as one to speak her mind, I think of her as more of a backstabber.

Ugh I just wrote a whole post about why I have come to dislike Mikkayla after being a big supporter of hers until about week 5 or 6. I went to post and I had been signed out of the forums

I was only rooting for her and Ben until a few weeks ago. Mikkayla used to be the underdog - I really think she saw herself as a misfit who everyone was gunning for simply because they believed her to be a weak player. Besides being bossy like everyone said, she still remained upbeat and kind to people, even though she knew they did not like her and wanted her gone.

There was a time when she really only Tim as her support in the house. She was able to form a clique by instigating the fight between the Sugar Sisters and Tahan, getting the Sugar Sisters on side. Slowly Ben and Jade have also been integrated in to this clique and because she is the most opinionated of the four (well, really five) housemates, she seems to have elected herself as Queen B. With the eviction of people like Matt, Caleb, Heidi and Tully, the clique has only grown stronger.

She stated she had no intentions of befriending the new intruders and they would have to get to know HER. Nice attitude for someone who used to be the outsider of the group. Have you seen her face anytime Tahan is saved from eviction? I mean, I know you wouldn't be over the moon if someone you disliked is to stay in the house but you don't need to sit there with a face like a smacked ass either. How quickly she forgets that SHE used to be that person, that stayed week after week much to the annoyance of everyone else.

She is bitchy. That's all she does... bitch bitch bitch to her faithful followers. Remember when Jade asked her if leaving the bracelet under Ed's bed was too much? She assured Jade it wasn't then told Ed, "I told her not to!" um no, Mikkayla... you didn't. What a great friend.

Last night she bitched to the Sugar Sisters and Jade about Tim and Tahan arguing that they weren't the least genuine people in the house simply because other people thought they were mean. She wouldn't even consider what they were saying even though they had a valid point - genuine does not equal NICE. She even went and said Tim "shot himself in the foot in her eyes" and people "need to get their head out of their ass" for what exactly?... having a differing opinion on the definition of genuine? Get real. They were the ones who were indicated to be the least genuine in the house yet Mikkayla was the one kicking up the biggest stink over it.

Did anyone see how much pleasure Mikkayla got from learning that Tahan lied about nominating Nathan to stay? She was adamant she was going to let him know exactly who voted against him. She was positively gleeful because it's another reason for her to try to get Tahan off side and recruit someone to her clique. Why would Nathan even care that one person didn't vote him to stay? Why is she acting like Tahan did something horrible when she herself nominates two people to be up for eviction every single week?

I'm no fan of Tahan but at the moment, Mikkayla is making her look like a saint. I've gone from wishing Mikkayla would be in final 2 to now wishing she would f#$% off. Can't stand her anymore!

Brilliantly said!

She seems to have adopted a senior role in the house. Like when intruders came in she could only speak and tell them how things are. The shopping list thing was ridiculous. When Justin asked for something she whispered is he kidding? She is just not a very genuine person. She talks about being truthful and priding herself on being real and not fake but she constantly needs reassurance from jade or the sisters that she isnt being fake. I can't believe that sometimes she's a teacher

well all I can say is Mr Clooney likes Mikki and Justynn, they cant be all that bad.

Haha I know, I didn't understand the reactions to Justynn's cereal request. It was like, someone alert the police! The man put an order in for some Sultana Bran!

He had told them he was a type one diabetic... I think that awards him the right to request certain food items considering he needs to be more mindful of his diet.

.It always amuses me when the public crucify a housemate for sharing so publicly toxic personality attributes that we are all guilty of.

This is very well put and I wholeheartedly agree with you. It also works both ways, Mik's as well as Tahan's.

I think mikkayla is the most switched on person in the house. She might be anoying to some but I defy anyone that says that she isn't always right with her comments. The the complaints about Mikkayla are about he attitude, but they are never about her making false accusations. Like it or not she is right abut Tahan and Ben and Tim and she was right about Jasmin and Tully and Justynn and pretty much everyone else she has made comments about, and she is usually the first person to make such comments. In comparison Tahan's comments are quite often wrong and based on superficial dislikes.

As to people's comments about being genuine, I think the problem with Tahan and Tim's version of genuine is that they misuse it and use it as an excuse to say mean an manipulative things about people. Tahan can say mean things and then go "I was just being honest". The problem with that is that Tahan being honest is quite often just her opinion, which can be wrong. Like when Nathan was saying the sister where intelligent, which goes against all the negative comments Tahan has directed at them.

I like her.

She is smart, she is opinionated, she is fun, she is giggly and she is flawed, which are all qualities I like in a person.

I think she has been a great housemate to watch, and many of us can identify with her little crazed emotional outbursts. Life is about talking behind peoples backs to let off steam, having a camera on you capturing your worst moments is what is unusual.

It always amuses me when the public crucify a housemate for sharing so publicly toxic personality attributes that we are all guilty of.

One of the best posts in this thread!
The thread title is "Why do you like Mikkayla?" A lot of the posts are full of hate and venom the very thing that you are accusing Mikkayla of doing! How very sad!

Mikk gloats in having been instrumental to getting Justynn out, the next logical move is to consolidate her alliance with the girls, all of them except Tahan, holding hands, giggling but then: female intruders... that smile was wiped off Mikks face, she seemed a bit at a loss - understandably, she doesn't know which way the two new girls are gonna be rolling and I can just see Mikk trying frantically to rearrange her strategy. Trouble is, the only strategy Mikk ever had was to round up the docile and the timid and hope for their support.

She'll play the victim role soon enough, she will yell, bark orders and then cry. I fell for it before, not anymore.

Exactly.
If she stops doing bitching every day, we wouldn't be complaining.

Every daily show is about Mikkayla's growing hate on Tahan for whatever reason.
My gosh, its like she can't move on with her life and just keep repeating the same shit to whoever is there.
At least, Tahan has improved as show goes on, she has cut it down while Mikkayla still cant let stuff go and talks even more.
Tahan was saying it out of frustration and she did the wrong thing. Her fans see this.
Mikkayla can keep shooting herself on the feet now because its annoying now. =)

Here is the thing, every hm has redeeming qualities.mtahan has redeemed herself. Mikkayla is shooting herself in the foot more everyday. I co p,etely agree that her hate for tahan is her downfall.

How is Mikkayla a genuine person? She is constantly saying one thing to her friends face and the total opposite behind her back like jade and the bracelet situation. She is always snickering when misfortune befalls another housemate like when Justyyne was voted out she was the first person to yell in glee. Like Ben said someone's experience ended and no matter who they were its not right to jump with joy so publicly. Tim did this also but i think it was for his own gain because he had publicly said justynne could bring him undone.

I think she has undone herself this week thinking she is the head honcho and constantly barking orders and throwing tantrums about Justynne and the fact the dog liked him (that was pathetic)

Tim has never strayed from being himself and actually my opinion has changed of him. I've always liked him but always just thought he was in there to cause trouble and calculate winning. Yes that's true and he is still doing it but along the way he has also grown as a person and developed real friendships. Especially with Ben. Last night showed his caring side. And when Mikkayla was so upset about what Gagan said and mocked her about Tim was the first to console her but Mikayla is so quick to forget that saying he is fake and has brought himself undone in her eyes because he has a differing opinion to her.

Can't wait to see the back of her. she has played the woe is me card enough. It ran out for Tully and has now run out for Mikayla. Only person standing in her way of eviction this week is Ed I think this week

When I saw your post, I thought, I can't face reading all of it. Once I started, for sure I didn't regret it. You said everything that happened perfectly.

I hope people will read it, it is worth it.

Yeah, people weren't noticing what a bitch she was because she'd get all emotional and be more hurt by the stuff she is doing.

The worst thing about her is, she's the kind of person that seems to justify and rationalise how horrible they are to someone, based on if she thinks they deserve it.

Tahan can be rude, mean and nasty at times. However that's just her, immaturity, sense of humour, a lack of filter and confidence.

Mik enjoys being mean. She enjoys bitching and being horrible. The more sympathy she got, the more emboldened she has become and being even more horrible. There's no self reflection. Something Tahan does have. She has seen it as open season on Tahan and getting worse and worse towards her.

I think it's also a decent example of how having a support network in the house helps. She has people to go and cry to. So we watch a bunch of poeple all reassuring, giving her sympathy. Which Tahan doesn't have. So that very fact makes it appear she's the weaker more sympathetic party. Which gave her a lot of support.

And was she right about Justynn when she made the comment "I know 10x more about food than he does" ?
