Where Are They Now?

What? geez, nothing like a bit of stereotyping. You know lots of "old buggers from the bush" do you?

Just from my experience: my father (I'm gay), my gay mate's father, my other gay mate's father. There's a pattern here. You know what they say. Stereotypes are based in reality.

He didn't even have the back bone to ward of Camilla when it was clear she had a crush, he wandered around looking pained for days.

Clearly he was torn because he realised if he outed himself to her, he would be outing himself to *everyone*. Not really an ideal scenario. It's not like he could tell her "in secret" and ask Ten not to air it, could he? I don't find myself agreeing with Barnaby Joyce very often but I think he was right that it wasn't perhaps particularly wise for David to go on Big Brother.

I thought he had the intention of coming out on TV anyway. I have to say he was one of my least liked housemates.

B105 brekky's fundraiser

Big props go to Labby, Camilla, Stav (pictured, left) and the team behind Brisbane's B105 brekky show, who recently decided to get a little fundraiser happening for the city's children's hospital.
They decided to release a single with the vocal and lyrical help of their loyal listeners and have now set it free onto the iTunes chart in the hope that people will download it.
Armed with a guest appearance from Hamish & Andy, some dodgy lyrics celebrating all that's great about the Queensland capital and more autotune than Britney's back-catalogue, the imaginatively titled 'Brisbane's #1 Hit Single' is already doing rather well, finding its way into the top ten on the iTunes chart since premiering early this morning.
Sure it'd be hard pushed to win any awards, but it's a track brimming with heart - as all proceeds go to the Brisbane Royal Children's Hospital. Get your chops around it HERE.

FORMER Big Brother favourite David Graham has been seriously injured in a parachuting accident.

It has shattered his dream of becoming a crisis rescue paramedic.

Graham had surgery in Brisbane on Monday night after breaking his ankle and leg, snapping ligaments and crushing his hand during his second 900m jump - part of his training for the First 24 Hour Foundation.

Doctors told him he had weeks in a wheelchair and months of recuperation ahead of him.

"I'm one of those people who believes in getting back on the horse, but after the surgery I'm going to spend some time thinking about whether I want to jump out of a plane again," Graham said.

"I just keep flashing back to those seconds before I hit the ground and then when I did. I don't know what happens next - I'm only just getting my head around what has happened."

The former model runs sheep on a 2000ha Queensland farm, but has also established himself as a dog-whisperer.

Graham jumped at Brisbane's Ripcord Skydivers on Saturday, and his instructor, John Friswell, said the 31-year-old was hit by a wind gust metres from the ground and failed to hold his legs together for landing.

26th December

Oh here’s another juicy and fresh story, allegedly on the 21st of December, Mike Goldman, Christy Johns, Sarah Jane Cox (The Model) and her Mum were attacked by the Brisbane Lions football players, the Model was punched in the Face, Mike Goldman had beer tipped over his head and more.

Television and radio personality Mike Goldman was dining with Sky News reporter Christy Johns, model and former Miss Indy Sarah Jane Cox and her mother at a top-class Brisbane restaurant last Tuesday night, when trouble began…

The model gets punched in the face and a scuffle breaks out between the players.

“He launched at me, then the other guys attempted to break it up,” Ms Cox said, referring to one of the Lions players.

“I got punched in the face. One of the guys tried to pour a drink on Mike’s head. They were behaving like fools, basically just being idiots.”

The girls get hit on, the mob of 10 players start running a mock, beer spills, elbows fly, girls assaulted and language breaks out.

Mr Goldman said “a mob of about 10″ Brisbane Lions players and training staff, who appeared to have been drinking, approached the group “yelling and carrying on”.

He said one of the players began harassing Ms Johns, who rejected his advances. “They said ‘are you coming to my house or what?’ ”

Mr Goldman said he stepped in and told the player to back away. “I said ‘come on man, can you stop doing that?’ and he basically told me where to go,” he said. “There was a bit of a scuffle and . . . (Sarah Jane Cox) got elbowed.”

Mike Goldman says that it’s nothing unusual and one of the senior players even apologized, the club and players deny the fiasco.

“I’m used to seeing idiots like that from professional football teams, especially just thinking they can grab women and talk to them in a certain way,” Mr Goldman said.

Football players are over paid, over protected morons

I agree with you 100% Muddy, the clubs and the AFL needs to do something to stop this pack mentality and total disrespect for other humans.

Trouble is whenever something like this happens everyone bunkers downd and the poor diddums football players get protected from any scrutiny by the club, and wrapped in cotton wool. The result is that they end up being too closeted and protected from society and scrutiny.

I know I shouldn't expect any better from News Ltd. 'journalism', but the correct term is 'running amok', not 'running a mock'.

Is Sarah Jane Mike's missus? I have a vague recollection he was engaged to a model a couple of years back?

The more I think about it the more I think "they're footballers what can you expect?"

See how cautionary people are on the other forum called Whirlpool where they are calling the girls media whores.

http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1605428

So wonder what really happened and if it will make the news.

I visit Whirlpool from time to time and from my casual observations I am of the opinion that a lot of the guys that post are either misogynistic, socially awkward or extremely lacking in life experience.

Whenever there is an incident involving a female they immediately assume she was "asking for it" or is "an attention seeking famewhore"

Having said that, there are also a lot of extremely helpful folk who give great suggestions/solutions to tech questions.

I notice that a lot..... I try to be helpful.

They really tore into that girl who posted the nude pics on WP too...

I am sure there is a reason she did all this, just not sure we will ever get the proper story and somehow whatever happened has messed her up.

Chrissie pregnant, another Circle baby surprise
P1650261.jpg

It worked so well for Gorgi Coghlan, Chrissie Swan decided to borrow the idea.

Today Swan surprised her Circle co-presenters on air with the news that she is expecting a baby.

There were shocks all round with the good news.

Swan was showing some family photos to Denise Drysdale, Yumi Stynes and guest host Colin Lane when she finished with an ultrasound image.

“But this is my favourite photo. This is my second baby, who’s 13 week old and we get to meet in August.”

“What?” replied Lane.

Suddenly Drysdale was shrieking and hugging Swan as the realisation of the bombshell she had just dropped dawned over them all.

“I’ve been trying to get you off my case for weeks!” laughed Swan.

It is the second time a Circle host has revealed the news on air, following Gorgi Coghlan surprising her team last year.

In a further surprise Coghlan then dropped into the set with flowers for Swan.

Lane is currently filling in for Coghlan while she is on maternity leave. If she returns by mid year, it looks like Lane could be remaining on the couch in place for Swan.

The baby is the second for Swan and her husband.

Must be something in that Channel TEN water!

Aww! Congrats Chrissie! :D She'd be an awesome mum, I reckon.
