When the cool male group (Travis, Ryan & Sam)

...
But why? What does intellect have to do with whether you like someone or not?
...

Come on man, you can't say that an element of a person's character is not a good reason to dislike them. It's completely right to not like someone if they have some perceived flaw that really rubs you the wrong way.

I get it, but I don't see it as a sticking point to dislike someone.

I like both Travis and Skye. I can accept that they're not as academically skilled as the average person, I can laugh when Travis doesn't even know what chivalry means, I can laugh at Skye not know what "deep as a paddling pool means" but I don't dislike them for it.

I can understand if you can't connect with a person because they're unable to meet you at the same level, intellectually, but a reason to dislike them? Sounds a bit condescending.

I thought Dave looked a bit stunned last night when Tim was telling him to use the strategy he used of the misfits not letting "the cool kids group" have the power of running the show, insinuating that Dave wasn't in the cool group. I got the impression that Dave thought he was was thoroughly entrenched in the cool group and seemed a bit shocked to find out that he's not being seen like that.

Hmm, not seeing it as being condescending. If there is a criminal who commits crime, am I as non criminal being condescending for not liking them?

Travis' crime is that he is dopey idiot who goes around spreading stupid by opening his moron mouth and vocalising.

Obviously we'll have our difference of opinion about this. I was just pointing out that it's fair for someone to not like someone else because of a perceived flaw. Also, I'm not talking about academic knowledge.

Well, considering you've just equated being stupid to committing a crime, then yes, sounds extremely condescending now.

Personally, I have a real gripe against people being unreasonable. Lacking common sense. Being unfair due to whatever reason, stupidity, ignorance, stubborness, bias.

For example, Lisa drives me up the fucking wall with her unnecessary handling of situations, like the Gemma one, or where she attacked David for no good reason.

They're the sorts of things that make me dislike someone, maybe, but not always, due to their lack of intellect. Whether or not someone knows the word chivalry doesn't bother me.

I completely understand where you're coming from. I do not connect with, and actively avoid, people who aren't intelligent. But that doesn't mean I dislike them. Someone has to deliberately cross me for me to actively dislike them. Outside of that, if someone bothers me for whatever reason, it's my problem and not theirs.

It was hyperbole for comedic effect. It's OK, the only person that needs to find me funny is me. And I do, so that's cool.

Travis has had no problem dispensing shit advice because he is an oblivious buffoon. I don't like stupid people who don't know they're stupid.

I can see why Travis was chosen as a housemate this year. He has no tact and no filter either. I think Travis vs. Gemma last night was just the start of his many fights this season.

The biggest showmance this year is Travis loving on himself.

Perfect description of how I feel about Travis. It intrigues me how oblivious some people are to how much of a douchebag they are to others. Chances are he's been surrounded by fellow douchebags his entire life. That's why in the house he has attracted Aisha and Skye, both are just too dumb to know better.

My dislike of Travis has nothing to do with his intelligence (or lack there of). My favourite HM last year was Jade who was considered by most to be "stupid" so I certainly don't judge on the basis of that. I understand not everyone can be a genius and it has nothing to do with someone's character.

Thing with Travis though is that he thinks his shit don't stink. He's loud and obnoxious and has to put his 2c into everything and be the loudest voice in the room even if it's about something he has no idea about. He's forced himself into a position of power within the group (probably by drowning everyone else out) and thinks he has the right to speak for others and make decisions for the whole group.

You know how people say don't judge someone on their looks, well Big Brother just proves that this statement is wrong....

Do you know how many children watch this show.... More than adults, I can tell you that.
