Oh no. No, no, no! Noiseworks are way better! Gimme Hot Chilli Woman over Sex Is On Fire any day!

Just to lower the tone of coolness, here is my fave trashy 80's cover de jour.

Radiohead's 'The Bends'
I think I've listened to this album maybe 500 times, but it never gets old. And hell, it's not even Radiohead's best album. Amazing band.

Eagles of Death Metal!!!!
Oh hell yeah.

I heard 'em on Rage a few months back, and more recently on they got themselves a song on a Mercedes commercial.

They aren't Metal at all. Certainly not Death Metal.
Just a good thumping rock band with a slight Southern USA feel to them.

"Shit Hot Damn. I'm a Man, I'm a Man"

Push and Pull - Nikka costa!! (a oldie but a goodie)
also..... Sia - Soon We'll Be Found

Crazy P - Stop. Space. Return.

Does anyone know what the song is that they play for the Channel 10 promo? The one with everyone dressed up?

Eleni Mandell - Artificial Fire
Brilliant new album from singer/songwriter Mandell whose main influences are Tom Waits and X. It's a very jazzy album with great instrumentation and it makes for a nice, relaxing listen.

Awesome, I'm glad you like her. She is great.

Currently listening to F*ckbook by Condo F*cks
Condo F*cks are actually Yo La Tengo in disguise and this is their new album. I'm on my first listen now and it sounds pretty good. It's very lo-fi and often sounds like 60s garage rock and even has some elements of 50s rock and roll (namely Shut Down which is surely an homage to that era). It sounds different from Yo La Tengo's other stuff but it's highly enjoyable. Definitely a fun record.

I post in this thread too much, haha.

The Beatles - Revolver
Personally my second favourite Beatles album after Abbey Road. Almost every song is awesome. My favourites are For No One, Here There and Everywhere, Taxman, Got To Get You Into My Life. Such a good album.

I Could Say - Lily Allen

Haha, damn straight. We are quite awesome :p

The Chemical Brothers are great. My favourite video of theirs is Let Forever Be, directed by Michel Gondry
