I seem to find myself addicted to 2006 Swedish Idol alumni, Erik Segerstedt and Danny Saucedo, as well as their boyband side project, E.M.D.

I LOVE Neil. I'm going to see him in January. :)

I'm listening to PJ Harvey's album Uh Huh Her. At the moment, The Desperate Kingdom Of Love. Beautiful.

I'm listening to Led Zeppelin's version of In My Time Of Dying. Recorded live and in one take. Absolute genius.

P.S. Hi Moonchild. I've been meaning to ask you ... Please explain?? :)

:eek:OMFG:eek::eek: Got the mini-movie... Alice killed Rosetta!!!!

Does anyone out there understand what I'm talking about?

PS Slash plays a great part ......

Well....There was "Welcome to my Nightmare" where he first introduced us to 'Steven' and his obsession with spiders.

Then the album "From the Inside" which he wrote following his self-enforced stay in a mental asylum. This is one of my fav Alice albums.

He writes about characters he met inside - Millie & Billie, Jacknife Johnny and Nurse Rozetta. (Look up the lyrics for Nurse Rozetta - excellent) It also featured 'How you gonna see me now?' about getting out and going home.

Anyway on the latest installment "Along came a Spider", it's the story of a serial killer who is building a spider out of human body parts.

In the mini-movie, featuring 3 of the songs, it shows him inside the asylum and all around are all the characters he wrote about in From the Inside. It shows a nurse and her nametag reads 'Rozetta.' While singing "Vengeance is mine" he slits her throat.

There's heaps more to the story but it's difficult to explain if you haven't followed his music over the years.

I just find it fascinating that this brilliant man has written a story about his alter-ego which has spanned over 30 years of music.

If you can read the lyrics from the "Inside" album, do so........a trully brilliant album.

EDIT: He chokes her, not slits her throat....

Thanks Moonchild. I haven't listened to much Alice Cooper, just his hits really. So now I know. It sounds interesting. I'll have a look for the lyrics, but I think I'll pass on the gore and the spider made out of human body parts! :o

Speaking of Alice, I heard a really bad version of Only Women Bleed the other day, by Tina Arena of all people.

^ I know!! :p

Tess, he's doing a couple of concerts as well as the Big Day Out, so I'm going to one of them. He's brilliant live. I saw him in the late 80's and it's still the best concert I've ever seen. Can't wait! :)

oh I'm so glad he's doing some concerts too. Lucky you, alias. I've never seen him live boohoo

I might have to check out the concert info myself lol I'd love to see Neil Young. I mean ya just gotta!!!! lol

I'm not sure but there might be some tickets left. Check Ticketmaster.

Anyways, now I'm listening to Jeff Buckley's Grace. Reminds me of Fryzy and Monica in the kitchen bonding over Lover, You Should've Come Over. *sigh*

^ Lol, Fryzy and Monica are the reason why I started listening to Jeff Buckley..before then I had no idea who Buckley was. Fryzy raved about 'Lover, You Should've Come Over' so much that he made me want to listen to it..and ever since then I've been in love with the song. Buckley's voice is amazing..it's like velvet...
