Yeah, I get it!!! Quite a powerful song, and Mary J Bilge amplifies it beautifully. I hadn't heard this version before, and only listened to it twice today. Honest! I like these words too:

Have you come here for forgiveness
Have you come to raise the dead
Have you come here to play Jesus
To the lepers in your head
 
Age has nothing to do with it @Mr Stickyfingers, it is the appreciation of great artists and the songs they sang. So lucky to hear and appreciate the years of music, the different genres and what songs made our days special. Cheers.

...a very good point made by yourself hawke... I never thought of it like that lol!... the older that we are the more music we have heard... I love being the age I am... anyhow... at 61 I'm only halfway through my life!... I wanna beat the world record for living the longest at about 122 years of age... just imagine how much more music there is to listen to in that lifespan?... lol!... cheers.
 

Listed as a crooner. He was 80 years old when he performed this. Amazing


One for the young Dads of today. Some songs never age.
