What is the point of having a live stream

Yeah thats pretty sucky they did that. They had a countdown for it on the tiktok live stream (wasn't on the 10 stream) where people would think if they stayed watching until then theyd see something take place and the countdown finishes and they see nothing! Just badform.

Anyway i think i must be a curse on the voting. Almost everyone I vote for tends to go. Apart from the first eviction where I voted holly all evictions after I voted for the evictee.

Same; happened with this years BB UK too.

I'll just duplicate a comment I made in the live stream chat that fits better here.

Whether or not the excuse that they never claimed it was a live eviction is moot. The show has been sold as having a 24-hour live stream. The expectation is that there is a 24-hour live stream. There's a reasonable expectation around censoring but editorial control over it completely goes against the notion of a 24-hour live stream.

Honestly makes me wonder if they got told pull the stream at the last minute by higher ups cause they want to save it all for the daily shows. They know regular watchers will figure it out fast who has gone but we have to tune in to the daily show to see everything that happened. It’s silly to say on live tv last night this is an overnight snap eviction and advertise live streaming then not let people watch it.

Yeah thinking back this is something they would have timed for Uplate if we still had it. Gretel and so on would say things like 'Tune into Uplate tonight to see the new intruder arrive'.

There's no uplate now but you have live streaming and something that occurred around the uplate hours they could have just continued that tradition of letting people see things live as they happen later at night but for whatever reason just chose to not do it.

Whatever argument could be made for not showing the late-night eviction. I don't think anything justifies the continued butchery of the live stream.

It's such a wasted opportunity.

Imagine having that kind of organic hype where livestream viewers skyrocket to the thousands at 1am... ON A WORK NIGHT. And instead of going with the flow, you decide (for whatever reason) that you're not going to air it. There's NO point being so secretive.

People aren't tuning into the daily shows for ~exclusive content~ or ~reveals~. They watch it because they're invested. And the livestream is just one way to get people invested. If you cut the cameras during pivotal moments, people lose interest and viewership dies off.
