What happened to eviction prizes?

Why on earth do you miss prizes - it makes absolutely no difference to your Big Brother viewing experience. Nobody so far has done anything worthy of winning anything.
 
How about a '3' mobile phone, a Playstation 2 and a voucher from Harvey World Travel?

I don't miss the 'message from the grave' videos either, they rarely added anything to the show. Glad they have dumped that.
 
Bah - it just shows how poorly sponsored the show is compared to earlier years.

The prizes used to be bigger the longer they were n the house.

There's a word for it too - "consolation" prize, for NOT winning.

I'll admit that the year they gave each HM a car was over the top, and I'd prefer say the last 3 or 5 get SOMETHING.

It also seems that Holden has bowed out.
 
They still get free entry to Dreamworld though! So they don't go home completely empty handed.

I've noticed no "product placement" this year, so no sponsors may be right.

Hey yeah....now you mention it. Sad they don't do that. Then again, some outgoing messages have seemed fake in the past. So maybe it's a good thing.

They actually still do the goodbye videos from the evicted housemates, they show the housemates watching them in the live updates but there's no actually videos on the website, it's just mentioned and shown in photos.
 
Yes, even $100 voucher to Psychotherapy would help, after spending time in there.

They should give them a BB trophy, so even after they are evicted "Big Brother is always watching".

I think it's just a symptom of the less-exciting eviction shows since Channel 9 took over BB. Whether or not the HMs actually deserve prizes or not, the prizes were just part of the spectacle of the shows.

Now it's like kick 'me out, obligatory quick chat and then shove then out the door never to be seen or heard again

Yeah the junket went on for a couple of week post eviction back in the day.
I wonder if they have any guaranteed commitments at all now.

I saw someone say Sharon and then Xavier/Rohan have been on the footy show. Has anyone else seen or heard them anywhere else? Even radio interviews?

As for radio, most networks seem to be pretty slow at uploading them - if they ever do at all.
