One of the best songs of the noughties.

The song I've got in my head at the moment is "Hey Soul Sister" by Train. I'm loving that much I feel I'm going to hate it before long!

Has anyone here heard of Die Artwoord? If you haven't heard their stuff be very thankful. I can't get their crap out of my head!

It's always the best stuff they won't let you embed. At least I've got the song, but this back up video will have to do...

I'm sure the Waikato river featurs about 3 rivers in here....just before the Thames.

Today the song stuck in my head is..

We can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind
coz your friends don't dance and if they don't dance well they're
no friends of mine...

I was walking down the road today and kept hearing that Glee type background music coming from somewhere. "la la laaaa"....etc

i really like "Whataya want from me" by Adam Lambert, and I was listening to it on my mp3 player this morning. I was thinking as I listened, that the song could also be sung by a female and would work just as well. And then, i thought to myself i could just imagine Pink singing it. I hate Pink (mainly for being so incredibly overexposed).

Anyway, not knowing anything about Adam Lambert, I looked him up, and things I didn't know about him were that he was an American Idol runner up, and is gay. Cool.

Then, whataya know, it turns out that not only did Pink co-write the song, but she also recorded the song for her album but left it out.

How weird is that??? I picked it without any knowledge of her connection.

I still like the song but I still hate Pink.

I'm not sure but I thought he borrowed a song off of Lady Gaga. But maybe it was Pink. I think he may have borrowed something off both of them.

Either way, there's too much derivative stuff around these days. Agreed absolutely that the likes of Pink and Lady Gaga are TOTALLY over-exposed. Either these two ladies are the second coming (the way some people carry on) or everyone's lost their marbles. I'm thinking it's the latter.

Now, there's some will say: but these ladies espouse the same, err, liberal causes that you do. All I can say is if they are what it means to be liberal these days, then maybe I want a transfer. These ladies don't know what prejudice is, so I'd ask them to kindly shut the hell up, because in case they hadn't noticed - what they contribute to society does nothing but perpetuate disenfranchisement and exclusion.

And so ends my sermon for this even. It sure sounds like one, but doesn't make it any less true.

Former S/A/W label mates, Sam Fox and Sabrina - together at last, and butchering Blondie! This golden piece of trashtastica just makes me want to seek out the nearest retro 80's HI-NRG club and go dancing tonight. :D
