Vote to Evict or Vote to Save?

Jade was runner up! And yeah it would be good to have seen Jasmin still around. The other two can bugger off.
Yeah, but she was only runner-up because of her surroundings. Jade may have won if it was vote to evict - though Ed didn't work in her favour.

I have a suspicion that there's actually not much difference between save and evict. I mean, if this year had vote to evict, could we reasonably still expect Gemma or Dion to have lasted much longer than they did?

The worst thing with vote to evict is when boring housemates stay in the game because everyone becomes obsessed with voting out the controversial characters. Vote to save isn't perfect, but it seems a better choice for keeping an interesting, entertaining mix of housemates in for longer.

Gemma wouldn't have lasted under either system. Although David might have got more evict votes than her at the first eviction, because of all the arguments with Lisa over the comments he made, which made him the centre of the show for several episodes.

There's also a few Skye haters. In my opinion Sandra or Cat would've been the ones with the least amount of votes to evict that first week.

Sandra is a far more interesting HM than Skye though - she's about as one dimensional as they come.

"Vote to Save", only because entertaining and polarising housemates can stay in longer. Tim would not have won if "Vote to Evict" was the system in place last year. It's actually the one intelligent thing that the Nine era of Big Brother has done.

I hate Vote to Save - I much prefer allowing the public to vote out people they don't like and then saving their favourite at the end. Vote to save just means whoever got the least amount of screen time that week will go and it's even more at the whims of the producers manipulating the public's response. No thanks.

Vote to evict doesn't work. You lose all the big personalities because they are controversial. Tim would not have made it through the first couple weeks last year, nor would Ben Norris or Estelle.

You would end up with a house full of people like Dion and Jake. It would make for bad tv.

I so prefer vote to save. The biggest characters are usually loved AND hated. They are taken out with vote to evict.
