Tully Making Lesbians Look Bad

Well that's fair enough :) I guess my feelings about her also have a lot to do with not all personality types being compatible. Obviously I don't hate the woman but she'd not be the type I'd choose to hang out with.

See that kind of comment I can respect, you say how it is for you and that fair.

Some other people have to add names to describe Tully, that I can not understand, and I have decided not to reply to them.

I even saw someone pseudo, being "Die Tully Die" What kind of people are those? I am glad I don't know anyone like that.

Why is it that Tully cries so much while amongst the other HMs, yet rarely if ever while in the Diary Room - not even while getting a strike?

Strange.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah tbh, if I owned a message board, I'd not register usernames that were personally villifying, in the same way I wouldn't allow usernames that were racially orotherwise as offensive. I'm not a big fan of censorship but theres a kind of responsibility involved, I think.

True :) Should I say, that I would be unhappy the way Xavier (for example) behaved because he is my representation of straight ?

This is a really fair point. I do agree. As someone else stated, she hasn't gone in the house as some kind of GLBT advocate but sadly, whether she wanted it or not, being on television she is actually going to be looked at as a representation of lesbians, and the reality is that some ill-educated people will assume from some of her words/actions/etc that perhaps being gay IS 'just a choice' ...and I think there are many people who fight against that assumption daily and it pisses me off. That being said, I don't think it should therefore be her responsibility to change how she is because of this, but just stating that is the way I see it.

Oh - semi correct. Maybe not all are attention whores but definitely a good few

Anyone who goes on national tv for the sole purpose of being watched by anyone on the country that chooses to watch them is an attention whore in every sense of the word. End of.

I respect your stance. Some people just take it too far and by responding to them, you just perpetuate the nastiness.

The boys and the girls are getting ready in separate bedrooms.

Tim sends Ben to the girls’ room. “Tell us what they’re talking about. You can be our spy.”

They’re talking about which of the boys in the House they’d date theoretically and who’s their type.

7.00pm tonight

Jade says Ed. Micheala says Caleb and Drew.

“I need someone that stimulates me with humour all the time,” says Heidi. “I don’t like all sides of Tim so I would never date him, but on face value I would probably date someone like Tim because you’d always be having fun.”

Tully shares her opinion. “I’d love to date Drew but I’d marry Ed.”

Does it get any clearer than that??

Doesn't it say theoretically?

^Exactly.

I'm thinking she is possibly quite introverted and rather 'sensitive' and not great at thinking on her feet or displaying emotions in public. With one or two people she has self composure but when 'put on the spot' in public she hides behind stroppiness or crumbles into a bit f an emotional mess, with tears

That doesn't make much sense to me ...

Oh!...well I'm speculating of course. But introverts probably able to deal with BB in diary room or Drew on his own ans one on ones or mor intimate conversations... But if in larger social settings find it more difficult (party settings, group settings...?) compared to extroverts -like Tim!!! Who thrives in larger groups. I'm speculating Tully for all her embracing of social media may actually need more solitude or smaller group settings than she is getting to function at her best. She seems better one on one

I guess that makes me on attention whore because I think I'd do it! It seems like a fun experience, not to mention easier than working... I wouldn't go in to be watched, necessarily. I would forget the cameras were even there til the DR!

God, Tully being upset with Drew was HILARIOUS. His look to Tim after said it all. She's a grown up baby.

Actually, I agree. Even though the show seems to attract mostly extroverts (Ben isn't one, though), Tully probably does err on the side of introverted more than a lot of the HMs. I think the way she sorta thinks scenarios through in her head a lot shows that, as well as how upset she got with Drew. In her head, she probably thinks he betrayed her when it was all in good fun and not personal.

Drew gives me slight introverted vibes even more than Tully, Jade as well. Ed maybe as well, Matt perhaps (or maybe he's just quiet-ish). The rest are extroverts.

I don't think Tully is introverted; it just seems that way because she's on Big Brother where everyone is extroverted (and someone like Tim would be an extreme extrovert). But I do agree that she probably prefers to be in smaller groups or one-on-one with people.

I guess what the OP is trying to say is that Tully's malleable sexuality just adds fuel to the fire to those that doubt that lesbianism is hardwired into females brains and is instead just a passing phase a girl goes through.

I don't see what the big deal is in describing herself as 'bi' when she clearly is but from reading on forums about this topic both female and male gays tend to be very harsh (i.e. discriminate) towards individuals who do label as themselves as bi. That could very well be why tully chooses the lez tag rather than the 'bi' one.

But also she might not even be bi. She might be lesbian with exceptions. I'd probably call that pansexual but it's not really our place to decide.

A husband could profess to all and sundry he's faithful and monogamous to his beloved wife. The next day an acquaintance sees him walking out of a brothel with his pants and shirt undone and lipstick smeared all over various parts of his body.

Doesn't matter what anybody proclaims to be, at the end of the day actions speak louder than words.
