Tully Making Lesbians Look Bad

Hmmmmm...so the non-stop touching, stroking, cuddling is a friendship thing? Okay. I think YOU are ONLY seeing WHAT you WANT to SEE! ;)

Nop, I would do the same thing Tully does in the house, because I would miss affection, but it would be just friendship. I am a very affectionate person, I like touching, maybe it's just my European background but in my family we are all like that.

Only has a friendship???? Oh ffs! She wants Drew and is a WHORE and Jasmin is triple the home wrecking WHORE as she replied "Go for it!" Disgusting indeedy do! Send them both home now!

Yeah, that was really awful. You can't twist that.

Tully said she and Drew were being more affectionate, which I guess isn't wrong necessarily.. but then Jasmin's comment solidified it. "Go for it". What does that mean, exactly? Tully didn't look appalled, either. Tully barely got sad when the message came up, and she covered it with "I didn't hear it". I think she honestly doesn't care about her relationship at home anymore.

She's unstable. Truly, truly unstable. Drew needs to stay away from her, but honestly, I still don't think he sees her as anything other than his lesbian friend in the house. I remember in an episode it looked like he was kind of rolling his eyes or thinking "again?" when she forced leaning into him for a hug. He likes affection - that's probably what's keeping him close to her. Otherwise, I don't see any attraction on his part. Tully needs to stop now because she's embarrassing herself and her girlfriend at home. And if I was a lesbian - yes, I would be pissed that this girl is my representation on the show.

I'm half European background wise and as much as I'm touchy as well, I definitely wouldn't touch a guy the way Tully does and claim I'm a lesbian or have that be friendly. I think she takes it too far with him if I'm being honest.

This is what I think they meant in that short convo:
Tully: Drew and I have been quite affectionate lately... I wonder if what we're doing looks bad...
Jas: Nah man it's fine, go for it. Everyone knows you're just friends.

Also Tully did get sad about the message. She looked like she was about to cry but she stopped herself. Then after she told Jade it's all good, she left the room because she was upset.

And if I was a lesbian - yes, I would be pissed that this girl is my representation on the show.

She's not the spokesperson for all lesbians. It's not her job to make all lesbians look good.

While that is absolutely true, for people who've had no interaction with, and have minimal information on, homosexuality in general, she could be seen as representative. I'm not saying that's the right thing to do - but it can and does happen.

Same way Ben is not doing a great deal for the gay men in this country.

True :) Should I say, that I would be unhappy the way Xavier (for example) behaved because he is my representation of straight ?

I never said she was. But when you're part of a minority, you tend to hope those who represent your minority (and yes, everyone in there is representing something whether they like it or not, we all do inadvertently) don't look like psychopaths!

I don't know - maybe that's what they meant. Maybe it was clever editing... but when Jasmin said "i'd much rather that than..." I think that kind of makes it obvious that she's referring to shed prefer tully be his girl than Jade, which wouldnt even be an issue if tully meant it in a friendly way. There's no competition for friendship, but if it's something more, there is.

Yeah but she ALWAYS cries far far far more for FAR less! She suddenly had a moment of self control? I don't buy it, but that's my opinion. I think the leaving the room part was editing.

^^^ HHAHAHAHAHAHA more DELUSION!!! The conversation was NOT edited and now youre putting words in the WHORES mouths? Seriously funny shit! :D

She doesn't represent lesbians; she represents herself! I'd understand if she was the first openly lesbian person to ever be on TV, but the fact is people have seen other lesbians before (Ellen for example). And by the way, psychopaths rarely show emotion - that sounds just like Tully!

That's not the only time she's done that recently. When she got a strike, she was about to cry but she stopped herself.

I said that's how I took it to mean. And they're not whores.

Actually when they mentioned the strike bit, she seemed to understand completely and didn't really look like she was going to cry. Our opinions differ on the matter.

I think you're right dead square center on this. She had the look of a girl who had seen the principal's office too many times in life and was just waiting to get out and do it again.

She looked like she was about to cry but then she took a breath and said "I understand". Also just in general she's been crying a lot less than in the first couple of weeks.

Once again YOUR opinion and I have MINE! If I want to call whores WHORES..thats my prerogative! ;)

OR I reject reality and substitute my own. Can't see the forrest for the trees

Lol. Well everyone else is choosing believe that Jas is telling Tully to cheat on Tahlia, so I'm just saying what I think is the more likely meaning behind their convo.

Ok, now that I've thought a bot more about it, I'm still not thinking Tully embarrasses me or any other lesbians but I'm going to have to admit to now thinking along the lines of "why did they have to select her? Of all the lesbians...why her?" We don't get much *representation in media.so it would've been fantastic to switch on on see someone I could identify with, or like at least. At this point, with her Eeyore attitude and boundary crossing "affections" with Drew, I don't even have much respect for her. That's not hate btw, it's worse.

*Representation, portrayal, coverage etc

I am not a lesbian and I like Tully for who she is, I just like her style very much. I would love to have her as my friend. She is not perfect but who is? I might not like all of her actions but I like her.

Well that's fair enough :) I guess my feelings about her also have a lot to do with not all personality types being compatible. Obviously I don't hate the woman but she'd not be the type I'd choose to hang out with.
