Unfallen Icarus
I should probably know this but what's Pilot?
Haha he probably was quoting Pilot. I've just been getting symbolism from Macbeth hammered into me so I'm seeing it in places where it doesn't exist. There's just a lot of hand-washing in Macbeth. But actually, I don't think there's even anyone who says 'I wash my hands of this'. *hangs head in shame*
It's in the Bible. It is why they say the Jews killed Jesus, and not the Romans.
Jesus was arrested for saying he was 'King of the Jews.' Pilot was like the governor of Jerusalem or something. He interviewed Jesus and thought he was okay. His wife liked him too. At the time it was Passover - a Jewish festival, and so the Romans said they would let someone go from the prison. The two choices were Barabas, a bad dude, and Jesus. Pilot asked the people if they wanted to let him go and they all said 'Free Barabas,'so Pilot said You sure? and they sad yes, and so Pilot washed his hand of it, and the blame was on the crowd.
At least that is what I remember.
