Tim appreciation thread!

A thought I just had. Would Ben be a favorite this year if Tim was never in the house? I could ask the reverse as well but it seems to me they have a symbiotic relationship. Tim also is responsible, indirectly, for the protective cocoon of people around Ben. Even though Tim does give Ben the business I think Ben might have found his time in the house more difficult without Tim.

I think Ben would still have been a favourite, but I hear what you are saying.

The friendship I see between Tim and Ben is just lovely. Tim teases Ben, plays pranks on him and generally just includes him. He also tells Ben things that others may not. I don't know Ben personally, but I wonder if he's ever had such acceptance in life from a friend before?

As for Tim, I think that Ben balances him a bit. Calms him, quiets him?

These are just my own thoughts, but I do love their friendship, as we, the viewers get to see it. Tim would be hard work to be friends with, his energy is boundless and I just could not keep up. Ben seems to be the HM least affected by Tim. :)

Thing I really like about Tim is he comes across to me as a genuinely nice guy. Any shit stirring or game playing he does is never malicious and when anyone is properly upset (like Ben was about his life when he goes home), Tim provides very kind considered advice.

He might be a bit childish and self indulgent etc but IMO he has found the right balance where at the heart of it he remains a kind and caring person.

I just think Tim has a bit of a care free attitude which results in him being fearless. Putting himself up for eviction in the hope that he will get more votes then one of the meat heads thus evicting one of them will go down as one of the riskiest, gutsiest, and most strategic moves in Big Brother Australia history and the best thing is it worked!

He does have a care free attitude which does make him fearless. At the same time he does have a big heart and is caring. It's a good combo

He has always reminded me of a former housemate called Paul (Chook) (can't remember what series), so much so, that for the first few weeks of this series, I called Tim Paul!!!

But a much more carefree version :)

interesting observation, i'd forgotten about Paul "Chook" Dyer and yeah I guess there are some similarities with Tim ...

Tim is one of my all time fav HM's for sure. Definitely the best this year for me.

It makes my angry that Ben seems to be the one channel 9 has decided will win. What has he ever done that's come close to being as entertaining as Tim? Even on Tims worst day, Ben wouldn't come close.

Last night in DR with Tahan, Ben amused me. But he's not in the same league. Even if Tim gets more of out BB (career etc) and loses to Ben - he really does deserve the title of winner of BB 2013.
 
Yes, I have to say Tim's my favourite HM ever and it'll be a travesty to me if he loses out to Ben. I don't hate Ben but he annoys me more often than not.
I noticed it was Tim comforting Mikk after Katie and Lucy were evicted and he was genuinely upset himself, you could tell. I must admit that got to me because the emotion between them was so helpless and raw.
I truly hope Tim takes the title out. :D
 
I am looking forward to Tim's nominations again tonight. The most entertaining nominator of all time in my opinion.

To add to the conversation above. I agree Tim really does deserve to win this year but even if he doesn't, he will be the one who people remember in 5 years and people will look back and say he should have won.
 
i agree... i don't think anybody would be unhappy if Ben wins, but i think most people would agree that Tim has been the most entertaining and most worthy of the win
 
I feel like a lot of people will assume he is safe this week, and not vote!! I'm hoping that will happen to Ben, but now Tim!
 
I really like Tim now that I have seen both an entertaining and human side to him. The first few weeks I really did not like him. In fact I remember thinking after the first eviction: "Yes, Drew beat Tim!". I think back then I thought of him as someone who only cared about himself and had no respect or consideration towards other people.

I love the friendship he has with Ben. I know there are quite a few people on this forum who like Tim but not Ben, but I like them both!

Yes the housemate most similar would be Paul but at the same time Tim is very different. Paul is my 2nd favourite housemate of all time! Tim a close 3rd!
