Ms Berejiklian says life will look better when 80 per cent of the population has had two doses of a COVID vaccine.

"I know I sound like a broken record, but with good reason because when we get those vaccination rates, life will look better and feel better and we certainly will not have to have a statewide lockdown ever again when we hit the 80 per cent double dose vaccination rates which is what we're looking forward to."

lol, all I can say is good luck with that theory. The problem is people that are fully vaccinated still contract and spread this virus. Also you are not guaranteed that you will not need hospital treatment even if you have been fully vaccinated. So even vaccinated people will be going into hospital for treatment in some cases. It's going to be some interesting times ahead that's for sure.
 
Funny thing is over the last few days I have received a few SMS messages on my mobile phone from the "United Australia Party". Don't know why or how they got my number but anyway I received an SMS message today from that political party to check out a weblink to some Australian Government's "TGA Adverse Effects" of the COVID-19 vaccines. Here's the link:

Apparently that doesn't even link you to the tga website. I personally wouldn't trust what it says. I saw an article about these texts over the weekend. I will see if I can find it again.
 
I cannot find the specific article but it is Clive palmer's party if that is any help. There are a few articles out there on the legality of the spamming texts.

Information can be checked once the TGA DAE database is back up. Don’t believe a member of this forum with a clear agenda to not trust what you read. 😂
 
I am not suggesting they trust me alone I was merely saying there has been articles regarding these texts and the legality of spreading misinformation via text under the pretence that it is from the TGA

This is soooo wrong. And now, how can people have any trust in it whatsoever. Who TF thought this was a good idea?

On a related note, contact tracers in Sydney were doing a good job up until when they hit 200 cases/day. After that they got overwhelmed and that's when it all went to hell in a hand basket. That demonstrates exactly why it's so important to shut down as hard and fast as possible to contain outbreaks and not fuck around. *DID YOU GET THAT GLADYS?*

Dictator dan probably wants to close Victoria permanently off from the rest of Australia whilst subjecting the poor people who live there to even more restrictions.

This is the very reason so many had hesitancy in using the check in technology to start with - who know what government departments and/or other organisations are going to end up with your data and for what purposes unless this is made really clear. I also don't want to have to log into anther app (mygov) to show my vaccination status each time so I am hoping there is a data safe alternative in the pipeline.
 
I reckon once more people are vaccinated less people will do the qr code thing. I mean even now when I'm out I'll see only about 20 to 30 percent do the qr sign in thing.
 
Yeah I joked as I scanned into the gay (ahem) "spa" the other day how good it was letting the government know I'd been there.

Probably not an issue here but I would not be doing that in Malaysia or Indo.
