I wonder if the Queensland tourism sector is disappointed with Annastacia?
Paul Murray: "She thinks that you don't know that Queensland right now is 1% above the federal unemployment rate."

'We've been able to put staff back on': Regional tourists make up for missed season in north Queensland
As Townsville prepares for two major sporting events Magnetic Island and Charters Towers are seeing a surge in tourists with visitor numbers at 2019 levels.

Great for Magnetic Island. I've had so many wonderful holidays there. But I wonder how the more southern tourist spots are doing? I don't think that if you lived on the GC or even the Sunshine Coast that you would want to holiday in your own backyard?![]()

Scott Morrison’s new powers blocking deals between China
Scott Morrison will unveil new powers to block secret deals between foreign powers including China with state governments and universities amid rising concern over espionage.

Daniel Andrews may very well get lynched (figuratively speaking, of course) and I may very well be at the forefront of the mob. There is protection and then there is protection. We have to learn to live with this virus in the long term or until an effective vaccine is developed so until then we have to TRY to maintain some sort of normality and be allowed to go about our day to day lives. Restrictions that have been imposed on Victorians are not a sustainable solution for the long term and to allow a government to possibly impose them for longer than is absolutely necessary is just plain wrong. They have to find another solution.

Why is the left dumb?
Surely you can't condone that behaviour? No reasonable person could excuse it. EVERYONE is entitled to believe what they want to and NO ONE should be forced into submitting to someone else's.More like the lovable left!

Ok here's another funny COVID-19 issue here in Victoria. Haven't we been told here in Victoria that there is no visitors allowed to your house during these harsh restrictions? Why the hell then is that damned NBN rollout still happening during this crisis in Melbourne. I mean I have been told that the landline will be disconnected in about a months time and that I have to connect to the NBN network before this cut off date if I still want a landline.
Doesn't that mean I have to let a tradie onto my premises to install the new wiring and connect the new NBN phone inside the house? Oh hang on I thought it was strictly NO VISITORS at the moment. I also received a letter from Tel$tra a few months ago stating that the existing landlines will not be disconnected during these times of the pandemic and restrictions. So why the hell are they now being forced upon us during this pandemic?
I can tell you I won't be letting anyone onto the premises to connect me to their damn new NBN service during these harsh restrictions and pandemic. What's the guarantee that the tradie that comes around to install isn't infected with COVID-19? I don't think households especially here in Melbourne at the moment should be forced to let a tradesperson onto the property just to keep their old landline going.

People are fucking idiots and sometimes they need to be told to sit the fuck down, shut the fuck up, and stop being such selfish fucking dickheads. So yes, if that's what it takes, then I do condone it.
