THE VIRUS 2020 - the good, the bad, and the ugly

Victoria is FUCKED

I have had a few appointments with specialists during this week......and NOBODY is following the distance rules, or any rules
It is soooooooooo annoying
I literally had to jump out of the way, people have lost the plot
People crowded into cafes, hugging and kissing in the streets
Poor shop people are still doing all they can

Judging by my short trips out for essentials, ie either food or medicine, Vicotoria is likely to be locked down until christmas

I got so pissed off today, i rang the covid cop line, they said yeah we know....and unless you report a specific business they won't be doing anything
Suggested I call the local council
WTF
This sucks, that is 3 main street shopping areas I wil avoid

I suspect I will never see my collegues again. My office is in Melbourne and I used to travel once a month to the office. I haven't been there since the beginning of Feb. I doubt I will be there this side of xmas. I feel so much for you all in Vic at the moment having a taste of normal and then having to go backwards again.

This happened to my sister (also in Melbourne). After working from home the management decided to close the office permanently and keep everyone working from home. Saves them the rent I guess.

Guess you can still have Zoom meetings and occasional get togethers? Where I used to work was dysfunctional at best but I'd still miss those idiots if we were in that situation. As it was I took annual leave four years ago and never went back, and I don't miss them in the slightest, but that's a whole 'nother story anyway :) Bit different when the decision is out of your hands.

I live in adelaide so if I am not going back to Melbourne for work I cannot see me going back. I have worked from home for a long time but the office is currently shut and everyone is working from home. The boss hates wfh so she will want to reopen as soon as she can. Dysfunctional at best is a really good way to describe a few places I have worked.

And it's official - the loo roll raiders are at it again. Not one loo roll on the shelves in our local woolies!
Did they not learn the last time around, there is no need to hoard loo rolls!

So many schools in vic getting shut down with cases. Poor children probably shitting themsleves

I'm in northern NSW, with relatively low cases. However my kids, especially the primary school one has been very anxious about being forced back to school. We thought all of term 2 would be at home, then *bam* nup, kids are back. He's in a catholic school (not my choice) they didn't change ANYTHING!! ie desks still together, play time still the same, bus lines had 100 kids jam packed into a small space, like before. OH! soz, they did do one thing, finally fucking put soap in the toilets!!

P.S. - i'm the mumma that has let him pick one day off a week to escape the craZies that think praying to jebus is enough to not catch the covid.

I have a cousin who goes to a primary school here in vic. The school was barely doing anything to prevent the spread of corona. Fast forward a few days, the school gets shut down being linked to FIVE cases of corona. Yikes. Schools should be checked to ensure protocol is being followed.

Teens should follow adult rules surely?
Came unfortunately close to my old college......when hundreds flooded out, in an enormous close knit crowd
With many cuddling, hugging....and few kisses
