Yeah, Nah.
This whole thing is beyond a joke now. The constant lockdowns are destroying this country. The amount of people that have lost jobs and businesses is staggering. The way people's mental health is suffering is unacceptable. And quite frankly, neither the states or the feds seem to give a fuck.
NSW has basically given up and said the only way we can get out of this is getting vaccinated. This whole time we've been told, 80% vaccinated, then you get your freedoms back. Yesterday we were told, even when we hit 80%, you might not get back your freedoms. What the fuck is with the mixed messaging? We're basically being blackmailed and coerced into getting vaccinated (tradies can't work without a vax, etc), but now even when we reach the targets, we might not even get what we're promised!? I am by no means anti-vax, (I've already had my first AZ shot) but I am pro-choice. If you want to take the risk with Covid and not get vaccinated, that's on you. But you can't keep forcing people to get vaccinated, then not deliver on the reward you promised.
If we had enough vaccines at the start of the year, Australia would be in a very different place. It doesn't matter which way you slice it, Scomo and the LNP are entirely responsible for the position we find ourselves in. If he put as much effort into ordering vaccines as he did into building car parks in marginal electorates, we'd be living very normal lives right now. It infuriates me to see him & Gladys standing up there, lecturing people on getting vaccinated, when the reality is, most people (16 - 39 years old) STILL cannot get Pfizer here in NSW. But hey, lets shame them publicly for having the lowest vaccination rates, despite it not being their fault.
I really feel for you guys in Vic. We're now in our 8th week of our second lockdown here in Sydney, and it's draining. I have so much empathy for you guys and cannot believe you've had to do this SIX TIMES!!!

six party goers so far tested postive and the couple have the arrogance to be begging the public for forgiveness. In an ideal world the $350,000 in fines would get used to help pay medical bills etc for those that all that all thier party goers infect.

So, the outbreak may have started in Sydney, but it wasn't Sydney people defying lock down orders and throwing illegal Engagement Parties last week.

I don't think so - she was saying today that September & October are going to be tough months with restrictions and trying to get everyone vaccinated blah blah. They will look at easing restrictions in November for vaccinated people only. There is talk that pubs, clubs & restaurants will only be able to welcome vaccinated patrons from November.

Oh it's so peaceful and quiet at night here again. It's an eery feeling and you can actually tell the difference of how much background traffic noise there is when there is no night time curfew.

I don't understand curfews. I don't see the point in them because it's winter and nothing is open anyway so where are you going to go between 9 pm and 5 am? Haha...unless you've planned a liaison with someone outside of your household?
LOL! Or it could help stop some people from trying get to and from various late night parties and/or other activities? lol

Seriously I don't notice it much at all now, as i've said I have not taken my mask off when I go out since this thing started early last year. I actually love driving around during the lockdown as there is bugger all traffic it's the best time to drive around town. It's also great when going to the supermarket for the essential shopping, you can pretty much park the car wherever you want in the empty carpark and the shops are so quiet it's the best time for shopping.

The traffic is the only good part. I miss eating out the most! I would kill to go to a restaurant or a pub and have a beer!!
