I really think Hannibal is the most beautiful show on television, even as it gets to the point I can't bare to watch.
Could not agree more! I'm still stunned that this show is an NBC show, the stuff the creators get away with is astounding! Like last season where Hannibal made that guy that Michael Pitt played ( forget the characters name) eat his own face was the greatest and worst thing I've ever seen on television.

Poldark took his shirt off and showed his hairy chests again :)

Yes, and the fact it gets renewed despite not pulling anything like the ratings it needs to justify itself. Oh yes, that scene and when we see the fate of Dr Gideon were the ones that got me.

Been watching Midsomer Murders recently:

'I put it to you Vicar that not only did you murder Miss Smith with the garden shears, but you salso killed old Mr Jones with the sledgehammer, and that you are now killing Mr Reed with the knife.'

'That is an outrageous accusation detec......oh wait. I suppose I am a murderer. I mean I do have blood on my hands, and I do have a love of murder. In fact all this murdering has made me rather thirsty. Fancy a cup of tea, Barnarby?'

'Oh, well, ok. Don't mind if I do!'

They should just build a wall around Midsomer and make it an isolated penal colony.

Has anyone here watched "Redesign my brain" season 1 and did they catch episode 1 of season 2 the other night?

I absolutely love this show and Todd Sampson is bloody brilliant. I so want his F-Bomb T-shirt

The memorising of the deck of cards, getting out of the locks underwater and name/face associations were my favourites in season 1.

I love Todd's new challenge to rock climb blindfolded in 6 weeks time.

To cross that narrow ledge blindfolded? Redesign my brain with the settings on "out of my brain"!
It's a really interesting show. I find it funny when Todd supposedly gets all bitter and twisted about being beaten. He may be a creative advertising guru, but his acting skills need a little more polish.

Pmsl you are so right about Todd's very lame acting skills trying to be all indignant when he gets a low score for his test:laugh: That leap Todd took on that ledge nearly gave me a heart attack let alone himself, like he said. I love his gutsy attitude.

I can't wait for tonight's episode.

I just saw an ad for the new cooking showThe Hotplate on channel 9. I didn't see it properly as it was on the background but it looked like 2 of the women from Googlebox are on it (the Greek ladies). I am probably wrong and need to see the ad again to make sure.

Been a while since I recommended anything here but new drama Humans premiered tonight and it is absolutely brilliant. One of the best things I've seen in ages - usually it takes a while to get into new drama but I was hooked by the first ad break.

The premise is fairly simple - it's a world where people can hire "synths" (human like robots) to do all the stuff you don't want to do yourself. Brilliantly scripted and acted throughout - and far more terrifying than any CGI monsters in your usual sci-fi series.

I just learnt that the original is a Swedish production. lol I've seen it on the TV guide (the original Real Humans) but always assumed that it was English.

So I'm guessing that this is the British version of the show. I hope this is better than Utopia. The first episodes were promising (Utopia) but the quality of the show gradually decreased as it became painfully obvious that they were writing the script as they went along. Not surprising that it was eventually canceled.

I just started watching Australia's Next Top Model this season as BBUK17 is so terrible . I have to say that it rocks compared to its American counterpart. At least the girls in the show have a legitimate chance of making it in the modelling world. They are all extremely attractive and there are no real gimmicky girls eg plus size models, transexuals and thus far the tasks have all been legit types of photoshoots while the US ones have again gotten gimmicky and sometimes ludicrous. Unlike the US show which casts for internal drama potential I have found very little in this show as the girls all seem to get along well to this point. That may turn some people off but at least pretty well all of them are likeable...and unlike BBUK where I hate almost everyone, I have been able to find a couple of rooting interests to spur my enjoyment of the show.

I thank Australia for being able to provide to the world such a watchable gorgeous array of young women with good personalities to go along with their looks. I do believe that whoever they pick as the winner of this show does in reality have a good shot of going to the top of the modelling world like many other Australian women have done in the past.

I havent gone through this entire thread but another show that has been a surprise hit if anyone gets an opportunity to watch (its on the CW network over here in NA) is IZombie starring New Zealands Rose MacIver as a triage nurse turned crime fighting zombie. Rose gets bitten by a zombie at a boat party (dont ask) dies, and comes back to life, gets a job in a morgue where she survives by eating the brains of the recently dead. While eating them she gets visions from and takes on the personality traits of the person whose brains she ate and teams up with a police detective to solve murders. Its done by the same people who did Veronica Mars, a light hearted comedy drama with interesting plot twists and snappy dialogue. Rose MacIver looks hot as a pale bleach blond zombie ....and this show was renewed for another season with more episodes as it did catch the attention of the North American viewing public. Im not certain whether or not its shown in Australia.

Yes, it's a reworking of the Swedish series. It got 4m viewers last night, C4's biggest drama debut this century. Most tellingly the peak audience was only just above the average meaning viewers stuck with it throughout, and hopefully will return next week. I honestly didn't see one negative comment about it on Twitter last night and the critics all seem to love it. "Sci-fi with a heart" is a comment I've seen on a few reviews today and it sums it up well.

Re: Utopia. Had an interesting premise and it had it's fans but really it should never had got a second series having fallen from 1.8m to 600,000 in the first, with the audience falling to as low as 300,000 in the second.

I saw this morning, Channel 7's Restuarant Revolution is setting something up in the St Kilda triangle site.
