I do hope they give the kids every opportunity to get healthy without having to drag a parent around. I mean if they have a useless slack parent and th ekid is committed, let the kid stay.

I haven't watched BL for ages, not since about the 3rd or 4th series. It got too bullshitty/tricksy and just the adds put me right off.

Well you've seen how MKR has polarised audiences by deliberately choosing contestants and editing things they say or manipulating situations. Same thing for The Biggest Loser......That is why I never have watched any of the past series.

They've taken a leaf out of MKR's books

Yep, when I was watching I was wanting to crucify the parents. How on earth do you not address your own issues when you can see that you are passing them on to the next generation. I understand there is a genetic component and deep seeded addiction issues or whatever but ffs educate yourself about diet and exercise and enrol the child in some sport when they are very young, get them into the habit of exercise. I was walking through a food court yesterday and there was parents of all sizes sitting down with tiny kids feeding them deep friend garbage and sugary drinks. I was gobsmacked at how many plump children, pre-teens and teens there were around the shopping centre.

Something has gone very wrong.

Judgemental I know but I just think it is cruel.

I'll give the remake a go, it will be hard to think of them as the same characters though, maybe they should have been their daughters or something.

Well like the rest of australia I didn't watch, the lead guy gives me the creeps and it doesn't have Maggie Smith.
Stupid 9 kept shoving down it our throats with non stop adds - that never told when it was on, and lead guy came across as slimey.

Downton gives much better adds, not just focused on one guy....and that awesome house, I allways think it's more about the house than anything.
 
I taped it to watch later because I do love a good period FROCK, but I'm not expecting Downton quality.

It is about the house in part.

It's also a real house in England owned by Lord Karnavon's widow. He's the guy that found Tutenkahmen's tomb
 
I seriously want 10 to die for the Biggest Loser promos, they make me sick.

Those poor kids, child abuse.

Particularly hate them about to enter some stadium with audience - all the parents look pumped like they can't wait to get that fat head on tellie, all the kids look terrified.
And for god's sake couldn't you help yourself and your kid some other way than public humiliation?

That mother talking to daughter, I will pay for a gym - I want to stab her.

And 10 had better not just dump the kids, I mean if/and when the parent is too piss weak to be kept around as they will be, then don't you dare just dump the poor kids if they are putting in the effort, 10 better help them.

Agree 100% Ten have a responsibility to ensure they provide full support for evictees. I mean ffs, the first few couples to go will have lost hardly anything and have learnt nothing about how to eat and exercise. These parents who allowed their kids to get to this stage should be ashamed of themselves.

Dawn French, friggin Dawn French is a new judge with Mel B, sneaky 9 - I have never watched this on 7, I hate the variety acts & the judges were gross.
But hell I could just watch the judging & skip the acts ............
 
...do you know what I could easily watch each week for a full hour if a Channel put it on?... Red Faces... (without Hey Hey it's Saturday wrapped around it)... JUST Red Faces... with Red Symons as the main judge with 3 other guest judges each week... no professionals... just crappy shit acts having a go... anybody with an ounce of talent would not pass through the screening process... just the dregs to entertain us... (sigh)... yes I know... it's never going to happen but a man can dream can't he?... cheers.

That's what the adds look like - I don't watch shows that pimp someone changing dresses as a talent.
