6.30pm with George Negus has just been axed;
The 7pm Project will now go for 1 hour (and just called The Project) and shifts into 6.30pm timeslot.
Oh noooo! Southern Cross 10 have a ridiculous local news on at 6.30 (we haven't seen George for months!) So what will happen for us country viewers?
In the absence of an X Factor thread... Can I just say how ANNOYED I am that Young Men Society went home? You're going to end up with a bunch of amateur crap Australia, and it's your own fault.
I'm annoyed too Meglos - I don't believe that either YMS or Declan deserved to be in the bottom two last night - there were plenty of other candidates.
I concur. There is nobody I actually care about amonst the remaining rabble. Well, okay, Andrew is a terrific singer, but he's never going to shift post-X Factor units, is he?

Yes, Andrew is a great singer and no, I don't think he has "The X Factor" but I do think maybe Reece or Christina do.
I have not bothered with "The X Factor" this time around. But I caught the tail end of it last night. What the hell is wrong with the celebs? Guy having a mini ranty. "I can't undersand the voting" as if they are not happy the public voted the way they did..... What? The public's not allowed to choose what they want?

I was surprised that the audience like 3 wishez over YMS though. YMS have been excellent from start to finish.

Guy was just venting the same frustration that most of this forum vents every week. Johnny Ruffo/3 wishez stay whilst good talent like Audio Vixen and YMS go.

But at the end of the day isn't it all about the public vote and what they want, and not what the show wants? If not it may as well let the producers and celebs pick who they want and then it's rigged.
I actually vote - most of the time - if I remember (call me stupid, if you will). I only vote to keep the people in the competition that I enjoy hearing from week to week - IF I'm passionate enough, I will download the winner's single from itunes and maybe even the album.
It's not guaranteed though - for me, it's more about "the journey" *drink*

And - likely winner, considering Alt won, it's probably the axe murderer tats dude or ugly fat guy. Or the old ladies voting for anyone Ronan has could swing it for one of his groups.
I think the main viewers/voters for this show are - bogans who like Nat Bass screechy stuff, old bogan types who loved spice girls, ronans mumsy fans - they all get his cds for mums day, old bogan idol fans, and kids under 12.
Teens don't watch TV, maybe poor teens who don't have the net or xbox - even those go to a friend's place to hang on facebook.
Reece & christina likely also appeal to all the above apart from Ronans mums.
I hope it isn't either of them - I like Andrew's voice but time & tide for the old digger have passed him by.
I think Ronan is stuffed! I don't think "old ladies" will vote for Three Wishez (THIS "old lady" most certainly will not!)
mmm - I don't consider myself a bogan (regardless of the fact that I am not a fan of Natalie or the Spice Girls and have NEVER received a cd of Ronan's as a gift) I am an ex-Idol fan and am most certainly NOT under 12.

Well, they are not the ABC, the ratings killed George - at least 10 tried.
And "The Project' is vastly better than the trash on 7 & 9.
It would be improved by ditching Dave though & having a comic with wit, Bickmore doesn't bother me, she serves as the lighhearted host bit they ask of her, I hardly notice her.
Agree. I think Dave should be replaced by the guy that sits in his seat on Friday nights (can't remember his name) - he's funny!
