The Block: Glasshouse

this is my first time watching so no complaints here I guess.I dont think it appeals for a family but for a couple or people who like the lock up and go lifestyle it is perfect. Also is it pet-friendly????

I'm thinking the apartments having a terrace would be fine for a small dog or cat. There is also a nice park just down the street.

I guess it all comes down to whether or not they're strata titles though. If it's strata then don't they have to get permission from neighbours before bringing in pets?

'It's cheating!' The Block's Dee and Darren are at the forefront of a mass ganging up on Max and Karstan as contestants declare it's unfair they have a secret extra room

  • As The Block edges closer and closer to the finale – friendships are being tested more than ever.

And Tuesday night’s episode commenced with each of the Blockheads looking very weary as they woke up - especially Karstan who had been up with the builders until late the night before.

Builder Morris had also been up late and caused the first fight of the day with Keith The Foreman who told him to get off site until midday because of health and safety reasons.

Jealous: Max and Karstan had the other contestants seeing red on Tuesday night's episode of The Block

Simon kicked off with Keith demanding a good reason why Morris couldn’t work over the next hour but Keith refused to rise to the bate, instead telling him:

‘It’s simple health and safety. Because we don’t think he’s fit for a work and it’s as simple as that.

I don’t have to engage in an argument every time Simon, I'm the foreman and that’s it.’

Foreman Keith orders Simon and Shannon's builder off-site

'It's cheating': The blockheads were angered by the couple's extra room which they felt was unfair

    1412079612354_wps_1_The_Block_30th_Tues.jpg

Obsessed: Darren had become obsessed with the idea that Max and Karstan were ‘cheating’ and paying for work done out of their own pockets

But Keith soon got his comeuppance later on when Darren started throwing balls at his head!

And if Karstan thought he was having a bad day when he woke up groggy – it was about to get a whole lot worse.

Darren and Dee became obsessed with the idea that Max and Karstan were ‘cheating’ and paying for work done out of their own pockets.

About to get worse: If Karstan thought he was having a bad day when he woke up groggy – it was about to go downhill

    1412079768433_wps_3_The_Block_30th_Tues.jpg

Tension: Max was accused of hiding a secret room as pressure on the show continued crank up

They were infuriated by the thought that the couple had also been harbouring a secret room.

In what started to seem like a witch hunt The Blockheads then surrounded Karstan demanding to know why they have four rooms instead of three like everyone else, putting them at an obvious advantage.

‘It’s cheating’ exclaimed Dee, while Darren demanded: ‘We want to know how you’ve paid for it.’

    1412080177824_wps_9_The_Block_30th_Tues.jpg

Bedtime: Michael and Carlene spend some time with their son Paddy.

Karstan couldn’t believe what he was hearing and afterwards admitted to finding the whole thing ‘very uncomfortable.’

He told the contestants: ‘I haven't got any money I’ve got a 1,000 bucks to my name.’

He also explained that it was one room which they had converted into two and said it was initially part of the second bedroom.

    1412079857652_wps_4_The_Block_30th_Tues.jpg

Family time: There was some kindness shown with Michael and Carlene being told by their builders to go and spend some time with their son Paddy

Their true colours were all starting to be revealed especially with $20,000 up for grabs.

Chris - who has been dubbed 'Evil Chris' stated: ‘When someone fails a little bit you’re like “cool”.’

However, there was some kindness shown with Michael and Carlene being told by their builders to go and spend some time with their son Paddy.

Melbourne escape: The ladies step out for a mini shopping spree as they hunt for wedding rings

In what became ‘Paddy’s Day’ the youngster said he loved meeting Keith and revealed how he liked the ‘boys bathroom the best.’

Someone else obsessed with a secret room was Simon who hid in a wheelie bin and enjoyed being wheeled around.

Other highlights included Max going shopping for engagement rings with Dee – including one which took over her entire finger.

Oh dear, the puffy coat is horrid on Dee, it swallows her head!

I had defended insulated/padded coats, must have been chatting in the live show thingy for BB.
But mine does not look like THAT ( and that does not look all that warm either).
Weird puffy collar.

(but somebody gave me this thing that is like a doona, you can only wear at home, kind of a square with armholes, you can use it as a knee rug, Dee would love it, where is that thing? did I give it away, hmm)

  • ‘I can’t wait to come home to her every day,’ Shannon Voss gushed to Woman’s Day magazine about his now wife, Lisa.

The couple couldn’t hold back the tears as they said their vows before 80 friends and family including brother and fellow blockhead, Simon, at Sydney hotspot, the Grounds of Alexandria.

The venue was transformed for the event with candles in jars, fairy lights and flowers.

A hopeless romantic! Shannon told Lisa: 'I love you now and I'll love you tomorrow and every single day after that'

The groom wore a blue suit and the bride wore a tight-fitting backless lace gown by Lover.

Not worried about the tradition of not seeing each other before the wedding, the couple spent the hours before saying ‘I do’ together with Shannon saying: ‘We wanted to get excited together and because we’re both emotional, it gave us some time to wipe our tears – not that it helped, we still cried again!’

They weren’t the only ones crying though with Shannon making the whole room teary when he said to his bride: ‘I love you now and I’ll love you tomorrow and every single day after that,’ also saying: ‘You’re incredibly beautiful – so flippin’ hot – today especially.’

Lisa admits the couple are like chalk and cheese: ‘I’m a realist, he’s a dreamer,’ adding, ‘He’s always optimistic and I’m really factual and real.’

But Shannon’s mum, Lynn Vos, says: ‘They bring out the best in each other.’

Lisa spoke of how romantic Shannon is: ‘Every week he does something sweet that not a lot of guys would do in a year!’

‘My dad once told me love is not a feeling you feel, you have to put it into action,’ Shannon said.

The couple were friends for a long time before, but only dated for a year and a half before getting engaged.

Shannon saying: ‘I got the news I was going to The Block and I thought, ‘I need to snag this woman before I go off for four months’.’

After the couple finished dinner he took her for a walk along the beach, before taking her to the room and as soon as she saw the ring, Lisa was in tears.

Shannon had no idea what to do, but was just happy they were happy tears.

Don't tell @the Theorist.

So they show Karsten helping Darren and then they show Darren throwing a tantrum about Keith helping Simon. Those D people are NASTY. I realise it's edited and someone had to the be the heel of the series but they are nasty. You'd almost have to think they're on the verge of bankruptcy they're SO obsessed with winning. I'd do it for the fun, not to win.
