The Block: Glasshouse

Really? Are you sure.

I am sure Chris was wearing different clothes as well to what he was wearing during the buyers scores.

Also did anyone notice the 2 former AFL stars, who were potential buyers.

Um no. How did you.

Really? Are you sure.
Yes, they were standing right in front of the empty shell that was to become the shop. It did have "The Block Popup Shop opening 10th(?) May" spraypainted on it, so the challenge to start the shop had at least started. Inside you could see it was just bare concrete and work hadn't even begun. So that was shot probably two weeks earlier than the current edit of them starting on their kitchens.

If I had the money, and trusted the build, and was slightly more stupider than I am, the boys apartment would be the one I'd buy

Chris and Jenna are actually so annoying, how many times can she say "Smash it out" in an episode, and their laughing in unison

Notice the judges gushing over the floating stairs - as fabulous and kid safe...OMG, they are idiots.
Worst stairs ever for littlies, they are the ones who will be floating right through those huge gaps. Yep flying babies. And none of them had hand rails kids can reach anyway.
Jenna, Mr Jenna, Dee, all annoying and seem kind of lazy.

I saw that kinda of shot the other night. The Pop-up shop is actually to the left of that because I was thinking the same. I paused and played it back in slow motion and yeah where it has it sprayed on the wood that's actually the entrance to the apartments and not the shop.

I think Keith is well onto Chris and I hope Chris pulls his finger out! Fancy having that kind of experience (qualified cabinet maker) and not putting those skills to good use to save money. He always laughs annoyingly after he makes certain comments.
Dee really could've got on to the paint brush to help finish some of their last reveal ( I know late to the party with that comment)
I have a crush on Shannon mmm hmmmm ...yep.

They're fast becoming the couple to beat after scoring top marks with the public on Monday, taking home the pop-up shop's top profits on Tuesday and winning Wednesday's food truck challenge.

And while winners Maxine and Karstan might be grinners it appeared that the losers were very sore indeed.

Pitted to create a stylishly sustainable pop-up dining space at Melbourne's Queen Victoria market, each couple was assigned a different world cuisine to theme their designs around.

'Half wits are winning s***!' The Block's Dee rants about getting treated as 'average like the rest of them' after Max and Karstan win the food truck challenge on Wednesday night's episode

Quietly confident that her beautifully styled Italian eatery was about to score her top marks Deanne was less than impressed to find the judges had sided with Max and Karstan's Mexican themed space.

While the others celebrated the win and the end of the challenge, Dee couldn't bear it any longer and stormed off to vent her frustrations at her football playing husband Darren in the car.

Worked up and letting off steam she laid into the other team's design.

'Seriously they had palates and hay bales and they called it stylish. Are they taking the piss?,' she lamented furiously.

Are they taking the piss? Dee was not expecting Max and Karstan to win, especially after her Italian-inspired eatery was given high praise

'I'm just not going to f***ing try in the challenges, what's the point?', she ranted continuing her soliloquy while Darren sensibly bit his tongue.

'We're getting treated as if we're just f***ing average like the rest of them - now they're making those half wits win everything and they've got no style.

'Half wits are winning s***.'

Dee and Darren weren't the only couple to feel the disparity between the winners and losers with Simon exclaiming, 'Stuff me they win everything these days'.

Winning streak: Karstan and Max scored top marks in the food truck challenge for their fiesta-inspired Mexican space

While Michael smirked: 'I think Dee in particular thought she was going to win that one.'

Meanwhile, dancing in a Mexican sombrero winner Maxine declared the day 'the best ever'.

The teams were given five hours to create five gastronomic spaces for the food trucks arriving at the market and their efforts were marked by Joost Bakker a sustainability expert, designer and eco warrior and regular Block judge Neale Whittaker.

Brothers Simon and Shannon had chosen to represent Australia in the challenge creating a sustainable space that featured red dirt, tree stumps, a recycled barbecue and a lone koala bear.

Party time! Max and Karstan's colourful space complete with sustainable haybales won over the judges

Meanwhile Carlene and Michael were applauded for creating the feeling of 'a real Vietnamese night market' with the judges loving their up turned woks planted with greenery and kitsch block seatings.

Chris and Jenna's American-inspired diner was praised for its 'friendly' feel with Joost impressed with their rack of herbs, which had all the ingredients for fried chicken.

Meanwhile, Neale said of Dee and Darren's communal Italian space 'styling wise it says generosity, bountiful, abundance' as he invited them to style any Italian-themed party he had.

But it was Max and Karstan's colourful fiesta-themed space that really caught the judges' eye with Joost in particular impressed with the use of the sustainable straw bales.

Experts: Joost Bakker a sustainability expert, designer and eco warrior and regular Block judge Neale Whittaker marked the contestants

While friends might have been lost and won on challenge day it wasn't the only tensions of the day.

Brothers Simon and Shannon butted heads over the designing of their kitchen space arguing about whether to present the room at this week's reveal - or as Simon wished - wait and rethink the layout properly.

Pulling down a wall they'd had installed the previous day it looked like older sibling Shannon may have won the war as he called back kitchen gurus Good Guys to redesign the space for a third time.

Tune in on Thursday at 7.30pm to find out how the situation is resolved.

I want to smash Dee in her entitled, snipey face. Makes me want them to lose, which is a shame because I like Darren.
And make Chris go and get his adenoids out so he doesn't sound like he constantly has a cold lol

Yep Dee got her bitch on last night, for sure. I'm glad Darren likes to share his salami, though.

Dee is really going to spit the dummy when she finds out about Maxine and Karstan's secret room lol
Darren does seem nice enough but I've been a bit iffy about him since he was throwing a wobbly that first week, and chucking the wheelbarrow etc.

Keith going in on Chris. Good.

‘If I was working with him in real life I would have sacked him after about half an hour’: The Block’s Keith the Foreman is scathing about contestant Chris and his 'bludging'

The Block: Glasshouse contestants Chris and Jenna felt the wrath of The Blockenator Keith Schleiger earlier this week.

The couple were well and truly in The Block foreman’s bad books when he thought they were failing to pull their weight after they were caught out napping in the car.

And in an interview with 2DayFm Breakfast’s Jules Lund, Merrick Watts and Sophie Monk on Thursday morning, the tough-talking TV star said he would have sacked Chris in real life.

Keith started off his comments to the radio presenters in a fairly tame manner, saying, 'at times the contestants get too concerned with shopping and not working hard enough.’

On Tuesday night's episode of the hit renovation show, viewers saw married couple Chris and Jenna get themselves into trouble with site the manager.

The straight-talking workman was unimpressed when he found Chris and Jenna planned to apply screed their kitchen flooring - something he'd already said wasn't possible.

Chris wasn't fazed by the setback, admitting that he'd already sent his builders home and would 'jump on the tools tomorrow'.

But Keith was determined to hammer home the point. 'I can see this taking days,' he said, 'It's a big job, I can see it taking two days.

Later speaking to the handcam Chris aired his own feelings.

'We had a little nap in the car and apparently we're bludgers - we're obviously annoyed.

'When times get tough we have to stick together - I'm not a bloody kid stop screaming and whining.'

Rising the next day the couple decided to continue with the job in harmony and use 'Keith free zone' signs to keep the angry man at bay.

When quizzed specifically about Chris - who is a credited carpenter- on Thursday, Keith didn’t hold back.

‘If I was working with him in real life I would have sacked him after about half an hour,' he said.

‘He doesn’t work. I kept finding Chris in the bloody café around the corner.’

But as tough as Keith appeared, the radio show soon had him showing his softer side, opening up as he started talking about his daughters, aged two and four.

He said: ‘I’m as soft as marshmallows at home with daughters.

‘I’m a bit of a cooker, I get the apron on every now and then. I love making cupcakes for my four year old daughter.’

But when he admitted playing Barbies and experimenting with makeup, Sophie couldn’t resist using a phone app to show what he'd look like with cosmetics on.
