The Block: Glasshouse

Catching up... Bec and George ooze charisma and personality.

Why none of the glasshouse contestants tried to hire Tom (I think that was his name?), B&G's builder is beyond me...[DOUBLEPOST=1409144146][/DOUBLEPOST]
I think Michael might have bits, though. My son was so disappointed that Ken didn't.
Hah!

After Shiran doing his 2nd season as a builder on the block, the producers changed the rules. You can't hire a builder who has already done a block season. I guess it's an unfair advantage to the team who gets a builder who has already done it.

I thought that was only a rule for the fans vs faves season as it could have given the faves an advantage to work with their previous builders? Didn't realise it is now a rule for all seasons. :-(. Sucks I was looking forward to seeing Tom take on Keith again and win. Lol

We’re not lazy: Twins Alisa and Lysandra Fraser outraged over editing of The Block

BLOCK twins Alisa and Lysandra Fraser have again slammed the editing of the hit TV show, saying it could ruin their new homewares business.

Winners on the show last year, the South Australian twins thought Alisa was so badly portrayed during a guest appearance on The Block Glasshouse this week they have attacked the show.

Alisa was seen eating McDonalds, despite having a deal with Lite n’ Easy, and sleeping while she was supposed to be helping out contestants Chris and Jenna Susetio with The Block Pop Up Shop.

“When we work day and night every single day to build our brand it is disgusting how in one night The Block can try and rip it from us,” the twins wrote on their Facebook page on Tuesday night.

“If only they actually knew that most nights we aren’t in bed until after 12am working relentlessly on our business, maybe they would think twice about dragging our name through the mud! If there is 1 thing in this world we are not, that’s lazy! Very very hurtful and utterly disappointed!”

It’s not the first time the twins have attacked the editing of The Block.

On Wednesday, it appeared they had calmed down but still they were very angry with the show.

“We think we were edited in yesterday’s episode of The Block to make it way more interesting than it actually was - as that’s the nature of reality TV,” they wrote.

“Today is a new day and hopefully we can all move on to something else, like if the rest of the Blockheads are going to take points away from Simon and Shannon or if a McChicken burger is really better with extra mayonnaise?”

Yeah. It's probably like Michael's edit tonight. I'm sure he 'slept in' until 7.30am. The Block is a giant, manufactured beat up. I'm over it.

It pains me to say it but I think I'm getting Block Fatigue. This season just hasn't drawn me in like the others.
Me too. I think it's because there's been so many seasons in such close succession. I've barely watched this one, mostly just the reveals and even then if I'm busy I don't even bother to catch up.

Yeah it's a mix of close succession of seasons, the contestants and even the rooms. I feel like I've seen everything before and that I'll see it again next season with yet another multi-million dollar loft.

Same here, Hopefully next year there will only be one season. 2 seasons a year can work for some reality shows like Survivor or TAR because they are only a 42 minute a week commitment. Now The Block on the other hand is like 5 episodes a week with inconsistent running times, it's too much to take especially if it's on twice a year. TBH I still can't tell the 2 young hot blonde chicks apart.

Its just overwhelming, I have no sense of the space, less personalities (they all pretty beige) than previous season, way to much going on, more about the construction than the people and the specific space they doing this week, only time you get to really see the room is on reveal

If you were a participant in the show, maybe you could put large wall clocks in every room to fuck with their edit? haha

Also I agree with the Block overload comments. Fast forwarded through the gocart segment at 64x speed, that was half an ep gone in no time, then the other half was wasted on Block Shop bollocks. blah.
