The Bachelorette

I had the unfortunate luck of watching this with the in laws and some of my sister in laws. It sucked watching with them because not only do they find sasha appealing but gushed over him while hating on Richie.

I agree with the "You're my woman"..'me your man' vibe with Sash and suspect Sam may be responding significantly to that. She doesn't strike me as being as heavily career driven compared to someone like Heather for example. Maybe she wants some form of media profile/source of income but also she wants a man to fall back on, if it's not viable.

If she only knew about the real estate bizz going so well!

I know I know. But how does one say no I can't come to dinner because the bachelorette is on... Especially after the father in law bought baby supplies for you.

I was punished though. Being the Richie fan had them in stitches. Apparently I have awful taste in guys... Probably best I didn't bring up who I married
Ha ha. Sounds like a bit of sibling rivalry, especially if your hubby was within earshot! I'd much rather see Richie as the next Bachelor though. As many have said, he's so genuine. It's lovely to see actually (says the cynic).

He was a class act all through, right to the moment he left. Sam doesn't deserve him anyway.

He better be bachelor. I bet Michael will be though because I'm convinced sasha wins for some reason

I will watch tonight of course but I'm fairly meh on the result. To me it's pretty obvious that Sasha will win, which I don't totally disapprove of I guess, but I liked Wood's season where I could totally see it being either Snez or Lana. To me, this finale is the equivalent of Snez vs Sarah.

But yeah we'll see. I guess the point of the show is not about a big twist but helping someone find love and the viewer joining them on the journey. Still, I'm not feeling this one too much.

He was. Tbh, I think confidence is a big factor. Michael and Sasha have enough of it for both Sam and themselves lol

reasons why I prefer Sasha

1. he doesn't take himself too seriously and hasn't got tickets on himself - happy to take the mickey out of himself - and have others do it ... takes it on the chin and doesn't get too fazed by it
2. personally find him more attractive (than Michael) (I like tall, solid guys ... I don't like tatts either ... don't like overly muscley gym junkie types)
3. a guy's guy and still able to be thoughtful, respectful and romantic towards a woman (he put thought into that picture he gave her - he had taken time to listen to her about little things and added them into the picture - I would love to read the note on the back of that picture but ep 4 is no longer up for viewing)
4. when she had the adrenaline surge after the skydiving he was genuinely concerned, calming and not worried about how he was looking - totally focussed on Sam
5. he respected Sam and their budding relationship enough NOT to spill the beans about their kiss to the other guys when he returned from their single date - seems like everyone else was happy to share bragging rights
6. had Dave and Davey down to visit on the weekend and even though they obviously had a big night and fun times were had there were NO photos around of Sash doing anything gross ... just harmless stuff like piggy-backing Dave and whilst he obviously wasn't thrilled having a pap in his face he was friendly and just kept moving on past - not posing
7. formed close friendships with his roommates at the Mansion and has kept them - and from the sounds of it Sam is keen to catch up with Davey so I don't think Sash has issues with her being in touch with exes (unlike Snezana)
8. didn't crowd Sam and was nervous about that first kiss - so much so that she had to step up and say DO IT basically ...
9. he looks very nice in a suit ... but just as nice in singlet ;)

I'm in the "Sasha loses his fruit and veg as Michael pulls the rug out from under him" camp because it will make better viewing. :angelic:

will you all help me out with tissues if that happens?
and send supplies of chocolate??

I guess if they are following the script from the previous show, Sash will be the last man standing.

Australia's B and B'ette are truly marvellous in terms of flowers and candles and purty sparkly lights. I get really thrilled watching those overheard shots of Sydney at night and all the neons etc and then the fairytale golden glow of the B mansion, and then the clusters of flowers and lights... Ah! But they are not as slick here in the editing as the US Bach, so the winner is both obvious and incomprehensible at the same time somehow.

I hope they get a bigger budget for next years' shows and can extend the eps, have overseas fantasy dates and the after the rose specials, men/women tell all, etc. It is such a fun production to watch.
