  He was deemed worthy of a rose on Thursday evening, but behind the scenes of hit show The Bachelorette Michael Turnbull is thought to be worth considerably more than romantic floral gestures.
  
  Famousmagazine claim the 34-year-old professional footballer is worth an estimated $12 million, earned largely through a string of canny business investments – amongst them a real estate firm and a sports technology company.
  
  Michael helped launch Brisbane based real estate site Onehome with the promise of giving clients a written guarantee that they will sell their properties within 21 days or relinquish their commission.

  Reflecting on his football career in 2014, Michael told Adelaidenow.com that he lost his passion for the game after his move to Kiwi side New Zealand Knights resulted in him taking a financial loss.

'In 2006, I had an offer from Brisbane (formerly Queensland) Roar, and one from New Zealand Knights,' he explained.

'I thought I’d go to New Zealand, which obviously, wasn’t the right choice. They went bankrupt, we all lost money, and I became disillusioned.'

Michael suffered a backlash on social media last week after claiming he played for the Australian national team at the Sydney Olympics.

'The highlight of my career was playing for Australia and the Socceroos and also the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000,' he said during a Bachelorette VT filmed outside the city's SunCorp stadium.

But one of his old teammates told Daily Mail Australia on Thursday: 'Michael didn't play for Socceroos or the Olympic team like he said. He was selected but actually never played.'

Sources close to Turnbull later explained that he was taken out of context and it is difficult to get a message across in 'a 10 second TV clip'.

'Michael has played with the Socceroos during trial games and training camps, but not on the official team. He also played for the Young Roos and at many other levels,' they told Daily Mail Australia.

'What he meant was that he was part of the Olympic squad 'When you are a part of a team, 'playing' is what you say because you have played with them. He was misconstrued.'

The blue-eyed looker recently spent a Saturday at Melbourne's Flemington Racecourse with his Bachelorette co-stars Kieren Nicholson and one of the show's frontrunners, Michael Turnbull.

I wonder that because the show's social media account puts up the introductory photo of Sasha with the caption "Is Sam the woman that Sasha's been looking for?" which is a bit odd given that she's the main star of the show - but if there is such a twist, the caption would make sense and him walking would indicate that no, she isn't...

He failed in his quest to woo Sam Frost, but David Witko has reportedly moved on by developing a romance with close friend Delta Goodrem.

The male model has reportedly enjoyed a string of dates with the Delta in the weeks following his participation in the current series of The Bachelorette.

New Idea claim the pair hit it off while filming a glossy commercial for a beauty product brand in 2012 and have since developed feelings for one another.

I just spent a few hours on catchup watching ep 1 & 2
I really wasn't going to watch it b/c Sam simply polarises me (I am so inconsistent.......... one minute, I have pure irritation and can't relate to her at all---- the next minute, I love her fire, spark and warmth)

even her red dress had me go "geeeez how bad are wardrobe, it's too big for her boobs, she's got no boobs", and then I went "oh, I love it, she doesn't have fake boobs, she's like me"...... haha, I'm an idiot

I'm sort of the same. One feature I dislike on one person will be completely different on another. I don't find Michael ugly in any way despite my analysing lol, but I also don't get the hype I suppose. So far Richie is the most attractive to me, though he is far too fair in the type I go for.

I can see how David is a model, I just don't find him appealing either. He always look smug too, I don't think he can help that, but maybe it's the features you described that make him appear that way. It's fair to say depending on the warmth a persons fave gives makes them more or less attractive.

Yeah maybe its Sasha but I'm biased as he's my man crush and seems to "laid back" to be jealous.
