The Bachelor Australia 2015

I'd say production had a part in it as well but yeah I knew he wasn't into her about 3/4 through the 1st date.
Not sure why he's laid it on so thick in that article though, he must be sort of pissed that Heather is getting so much attention lol.

Yeah that's what I thought about his wording there.
Fair enough if he's not into her but I thought maybe his girl was a bit pissed the public was making a big deal over Heather instead of her 'love story' with Sam lol. Could be wrong though..

Sam gets harder and harder to defend every time he opens his mouth. I said like 1-2 weeks into the show that I was worried he was going to keep Heather around until the end because he liked her company with no intentions of ever picking her...turns out that fear was true.

Complete dick move. He knew she'd fallen for him (more than any of other girls he'd rejected apparently), he knew she didn't want to go through a home date and have that insecurity exposed and he still jerked her around.

All of a sudden what I thought was decent of him before (letting go Jacinda and Bec early so he didn't jerk them around) seems worthless because he couldn't afford the same courtesy to Heather...who cared about the guy the most.

Even if production did play a role in keeping her around longer (which I'm highly sceptical of for a lot of reasons which I won't go into now) - Sam still completely led her on. First roses, always pulling her away, he even kissed her after her hometown when I'm sure by then he knew she was going next. He knew she was very keen and he certainly gave her some reasons to think he might have been too. Then he comes out and lays it on thick that he never saw her that way? Poor girl.

He said she was more into him than any other girl he had rejected and that made it more difficult cutting ties with her although she was never a chance of winning.

"Heather is a fantastic girl but I knew from my side she was never going to be anything more than a friend," he said.

What a dick! He sure showed no hideous qualms or awareness of the deep pain his rejection at that point was likely to cause. And you don't invite a woman you feel could only ever be a friend on the hometown visits. Dick!

Popular Bachelorette Heather Maltman was never going to get the final red rose and should have gone home earlier, admits The Bachelor Sam Wood.

Maltman made the final four because Wood said she was such great fun to be with, not because he had developed romantic feelings for her.

However, given that she fell for the fitness instructor, he believes, in hindsight, he should have sent Maltman home earlier to protect her emotions.

"I loved Heather's company but knowing she was never going to be someone I could ever fall in love with, I knew it would only be harder if she was down to the final two or three," Wood told AAP.

"Retrospectively, I should have done it (sent her home) a couple of weeks earlier but you are also thinking I have to go on date after date with these girls.

"I'd like to spend time with girls whose company I thoroughly enjoy."

Wood said the social media and public fall-out following Maltman's departure was understandable and he felt bad about sending her home.

The three single women still in search of the final rose are intruder Lana Jeavon-Fellow, sales rep and single mum Snezana Markoski and event manager Sarah Mackay.

Wood will make his final decision on Thursday.

Wow.. very interesting. So why bs on with how he was mesmerised by her on their single date and lead her on? More importantly, him taking her on home visits now seems like even more of a dick move if he supposedly knew all along. What a selfish pig, when she told him to let her go before that if he wasn't sure.
Sounds like he's backtracking right now given Heather's popularity, maybe he feels like she is taking away from his moment.

If that's true then he is a bigger arsehole than I thought.

Heather Gate has really been his downfall. If there is any truth in what he's saying, he should have nicely friend-zoned her MUCH earlier. Sure, he mentioned that they were great mates, but he never once communicated to her that it would NEVER become anything romantic. He definitely led her on, you don't kiss and give roses to your mates (well I don't, maybe I'm doing it wrong).

I think the worst part is he has admitted to leading her on for totally selfish reasons. Did he not even consider Heather's feelings in all this?

All the media lately has been as if Sarah doesn't even exist there anymore.
A little snippet of her during the ad and a picture of him looking frowny-face.

Does anyone here still think she might be a chance?
No, I am certain Sarah is gone tonight. Her posts on Instagram seem to be hinting at her leaving as well.

Really? Which ones?
I had fully agreed with you that she was leaving tonight. Just the fact that they've been downplaying her so much is messing with my head lol.
Thank goodness we'll know tonight.

What a jerk!

For those that said Warwick scared him- huh! Yeah right! Warwick sniffed a liar a mile away!

He is so selfish! This confirms to me that he is just an egomaniac and really doesn't have the girls interest at heart. First thing, he enjoyed heather making a fuss over him and liked the comfortability she brought him. He used her for his own needs and disregarded the fact he was leading her on. It explains why he nabbed her every cocktail party, it was to settle his nerves. Second thing, was it necessary to say that in the article, I mean really! He would never be able to fall for her, should have dropped her earlier... This guy is a douche! He sounds like he is intentionally trying to make a point but in a subtle way because let's face it heather is receiving all the attention- sucked in to him.

Yep, not even holding back on trying to be civil or diplomatic with how I feel for him

Oh good, it wasn't just me who thought it unnecessary to say all that. He is also showing that he really isn't all that bright. You know heather is adored, don't dig your grave buddy

Yep, I think Sarah's chance because:
Sam has just about proven himself to be a selfish dick. (I thought he may behave more decently and let Heather go early, if she NEVER had a chance with him given that she made it obvious she was in deep and feeling it. He didn't.

Based on that alone (very narrow field of judgment) no offence but Sarah is:
1. Easier, and easy to get out of
2. Can elevate his social standing in Melbourne (business too)
3. Why would he be bothered with someone else's kid ?
4. Why would he also bother dealing with any potential madness of Snez's family ?
5. Why one earth, would he move to Perth, if his better business prospects are Melb/Syd ?

'Cos he'll do it all for love.......Hmmmmmmmm.

lol 'She was never going to get the final rose', Heather shouldn't drop to his level but if she were to...she should just say she was trying out her acting chops and he isn't really her 'type'.

Yeah it was unnecessary and he doesn't seem like a jerk intentionally like that so I'd say lol the girlfriend isn't impressed with the reception Heather has gotten.
So then there's your clue, who's the jealous type?
1.Sarah? No.
2.Lana? Possibly but she's always been fond of Heather.
3.Snez? Ding ding ding.
